Title: Texting
Post by: Nia Hope on 01 August 2016, 05:58:16 pm
If I get a call and I can't talk at that time I text back "Sorry I can't talk at the moment, please text"
Some do, some don't. Do you think this puts off clients? Should I just leave it and see if they call back?

My living situation means I am not always able to answer calls so I do similar but put in a time that I would be available to speak, for example between 1pm & 3pm.

But I don't do same day bookings

I don't do same day bookings either and a lot they text back asking to see me now! That's a good idea to text a time I'm free to talk, thanks X

I do this basically all the time. Unless I'm taking same day bookings I rarely answer the phone, and I say this on my marketing.  I normally just text them and say sorry, I'm not available right now, please text or email if you'd like to arrange a booking or a time to talk.

I am actually thinking of removing my number from my advertising and only accepting emails as once I start my course my phone will be off a lot anyway

I used to, but because many enquiries often go nowhere - because they don't realise where I am, want something now, want incall, want a different service AND I don't like text conversations - I rarely ever do this.

If someone wants to see you they'll call back.

If I know I'm going to be unable to answer the phone, I set my voicemail to tell them a time when I will be free to speak.

I do this a lot, I am self employed and work a lot and am constantly around family/friends usually until late in the evening so I ask them to text, most do text but a few ignore and probably carry on calling the other girls in my area.

A lot of the ones who don't reply to the text I assume want same day bookings which I can very rarely do so they are no use to me lol! X

I think they often assume that not answering the phone and then asking for text means either you can't speak English, or it's a pimp using the phone and probably male.

I was warned a couple of times by clients when I started asked people to text instead of leaving voicemails.

Maybe when you text them back with the next time you're available for calls, you could also offer to call them back when you're available?

I'm still setting things up on my website (escort section not live yet) and I was wondering how to answer calls, (I don't even answer calls from my contacts, I'll call them back after they call me) so I put a call back request option in my booking program. I just hope the guys will use it  :-\ I was also planning on putting, "text and ask for call back" in my ads. Would that be off putting? Or possibly a good idea?

There's so much more to this than I expected :o lmao

On my voicemail it asks them to text me for a quicker response. Many do this as could be out shopping or in a booking etc. I don't mind textes it's the persistent ones even after kindly being asked to phone. I see it like they're trying to get a freebie.

Not all clients  will agree with any one thing in life. So its best to do what makes you happy. This is what I learned. The ģenuine will respect you. The undesired ones won't.

All I know is they think nothing of texting us in the evenings and texting us at 6 am and then they wonder why we only have the mobile on the days we are working, or dailiy just to check on messages!
