I should add, don't do this with any clients who are emotionally needy or attached. It will absolutely fuck your boundaries because it blurs the lines between personal and professional
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes
The undiscovered continent for you to undress

No. But if you want to formalize this its possible to advertise  being added to a 'member list' in consent to being text if, for example, you have offers on. Then some regs may sign up to this of their own volition, as some are single and some have punting phones. That way it would be ok to send unsolicted messages (as its pre-agreed) if you need to try and drum up a bit of extra business.

Tried that years ago when l was fairly new and it was a complete waste of time. Did not get a single booking. Got loads of “Who are you” texts and some guys pissed off as they had since found a partner. The guys will find you if they want you.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

This is like my experience of cancellations list, I need to have a timescale including the days, times the person can do. Getting this information is often really difficult, but they want to be on the list.

 ;D ::)

I know I'll get slated for this but I broke the Code of Conduct myself last week  :P

I haven't seen him for the last 18 months. There's been no word at all. Last time I spoke to him he phoned me he said I'll see you in a couple of weeks and then nothing.

He's always been a favourite and I've agonised whether to drop him a text for quite some time now. But this week, on the night of the full moon, I finally caved in.

I said, Hi, hope you're well. It's been a while.

I was convinced he would have deleted my number and I thought if I was to get a response at all it would be along the lines of who are you?

I sent the forbidden text at lunchtime and at 17.30 he answers with, I'm alright thanks. Hope you are too, I'll give you a ring soon if that's okay.

Well, I wasn't sure whether he actually would or not but the following day he did and we had a nice chat. It was so good to talk to him again. He's always been a client to ring fairly last minute but I thought he would say I'll see you soon in a few weeks etc.

Turns out he had a day off that day and he wanted to see me then if I wasn't busy. So 15 minutes later he was on my doorstep and a fantastic time ensued.

Moral of the story is this situation is always risky but in this case it worked out well for both parties  ;)

I have done this exactly twice, with clients who I know are single and are in poor health. I've kept the messages neutral in case family or friends see it, eg "Hello, haven't heard from you in a while, hope you're keeping well? Take care" This way it can look like an old friend or colleague if it's read by someone else, but if your client reads it he will know its you.

If anyone sends a text out the blue then this advice is gold  :)

Pleased you got something positive out of the full moon!!  ;D ;D

I know what you mean - I have one or two favourites whom I worry about and would feel tempted to check in with, in a low-key way. I did do with one of them last year and it turns out he'd been unwell - and it's sad not to be able to keep up with how he is, but it's an unfortunate side effect of our professional service. Tough one :(
