Texting clients between bookings
« on: 04 October 2021, 10:23:52 pm »
If you haven’t heard from a client for a while( one who books fairly regularly), would you send them an unsolicited text just asking how they are?

The computer says no.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Absolutely not. It's for them to initiate contact, not me.

God, no.
Clients could be with their wives or families, be at work or a doing a million other things.
Touting for business is very unprofessional.

Just no.

A couple of clients do stay in chatty contact but these are a few, I almost always wait for their contact and I do not prompt any booking - they have to ask.

I have done this exactly twice, with clients who I know are single and are in poor health. I've kept the messages neutral in case family or friends see it, eg "Hello, haven't heard from you in a while, hope you're keeping well? Take care" This way it can look like an old friend or colleague if it's read by someone else, but if your client reads it he will know its you.
