Hey guys!
Just a quick question.. How do I go about paying tax? I've never done this as a self employed person before.
Do I need my own accountant or can I just do it myself? I'm guessing you will be asked what do you do for an income? What's the easiest thing to say so you're not being asked a million questions.
Thanks x

Have you read through the Hmrc website? Thats probable the best place to find this information.
If I remember correctly its just a couple of basic questions (when I did mine I left the company name part blank, and was registered no problem) not like a 10 page survey and you can put whatever you want ie escort, stripper, therapist, model, coach of some sort etc, just make sure whatever you pick is the same as what you tell your bank or accountant.

You can do it yourself (and I agree with Chrissie that a call to HMRC's self employment helpline is a great place to start) as all you're really doing is keeping records of what's going in and coming out and then totalling them up, but if you're planning on buying property in the future and want some credible paper stuff to wave at lenders (assuming you'll need to borrow some) or just want one less thing to think about then an accountant will sort it all out for you so you never even have to speak to the tax office. The Tax Relief 4 Escorts site has some accountants advertised too :).

Thanks Chrissie & Amy. I'll give them a call in the morning xx

With regards to accountants, I found a great one by emailing a long established escort in my area. Non-adult specialist (so therefore not extortionate) but completely non pervy.
