Increasing business on AW?
« on: 18 March 2010, 09:19:53 am »
Morning Ladies,

Has anyone got any tips for increasing business via AW?
I'm trying to rewrite my profile, everything I come up with sounds crap, if I'm honest!

I'm reluctant to lower my rates but business is really slow.

Thanks x

It is the middle of the month.  Where else do you advertise? punternet / vivastreet charge ?15.
Do you have your number on AW and update your profile often so it is near the top when people search for you? try reverse bookings aswell.

I don't get much from AW anyway, but I have met some of my nicer regulars through the site and the best tip I can offer is to make sure your profile is written properly and checked for errors - without wanting to sound like an English Nazi it really does make a difference if it looks sloppy and is full of text speak, bad spelling/grammar/punctuation, dodgy capitalisations, or so I've found at least. I know for a fact that one particular favourite gentleman first booked me over another local lady because her profile, although similar on paper, was (and still is) so laden with spelling mistakes that he naturally assumed she was, well, a bit thick.

I don't use the reverse bookings either, but others have said they have had some success with them and it could help to bump your feedbacks up a bit. New photos always increase your 'views' as well - if you do some Private Gallery ones (and they don't have to be gross porn pics, mine aren't) it can help pay for your phone number display too.

Thanks for the tips - I agree completely with the spelling/grammar comment, quite a few clients have told me they picked my profile over others simply because it wasn't full of text speak.
I think new photos may be the way forward... That and getting a Punterlink ad up tonight xx

As I said in another thread, I've been having very bad luck with AW for a couple of months now.  Focus on other sites.  If you don't have your own website, blonde escorts will allow a free ad and will get you business.  And you don't have to be blonde either!

If you can be bothered with it, theres the member referral scheme (Its there if you hovver over the details tab)
A bit of faffing about but earns me ?10-?15 per month for doing absolutely nothing!

I wonder if this a trend. It seems like variation of sites is in play. There are 2 sites now that have fallen off the books in terms of bookings, which were popular just a few months ago.

Is there any explanation for websites dying out in terms of business? When do we finally pack our things and move on?

Seems to me that all the sites have died at the moment.

So I am hitting the countryside roads and getting some walking done in the fresh air and sun, (OK it is raining today - bah).  HopefullyI will be in sparkling shape when it does pick up.

Google Analytics is telling me that captain69.co.uk is the second highest referrer to my site at the mo, after Adultwork, which is the first time that's happened as far as I've noticed. Are you all listed on there? girl-directory.com and londonbelles.co.uk (think the latter have sister sites for non-London escorts) are in the top 10, too, as well as punternet and Twitter and 'organic' Google searches. Ha, organic. Like my apples. :P

Try google business aswell.  Add yourself, you don't need to put your address - most people put a street 5mins or so away.

I cannot get over how bloody dead AW is... I haven't had an email in 3 days now! I've updated my profile, put new pictures up, created a private gallery, I'm displaying my number... and the only call I've had was some dodgy sounding bloke asking for free phone sex.

Oh well, at least I've got spare time to put ads up elsewhere... and drink tea... and paint my nails, again.

Next week better be busy  ;D

i ve never ever like adultwork but still use it as its free or so say free   very dead at the moment on it though  i pay for the local escort search - which keeps me on the front page generally
but the best for me is still punternet  punterlink google organic /google maps my blog twitter escort ireland uk belles london belles ect
if i was relying on aw i would not be working at all i dont think but cos i have been around for a long time i still do ok and prefer to work in ireland now as to the uk more money less headache when i work in the uk its very realaxed and not stressfull for me anymore
google business adds now want a postcard sent to the address that you are putting up so it makes it harder to use now if you dont use your own address ect

"Google business" - where would you advertise on that? I googled google business but it did not seem to have any personal type business on it at all.

I think I know what you mean by Google business. Basically you search for a business and a the top few listings will be displayed along with a map. I've been paying for a listing with a directory who had one of these listings and wondered why we no longer show up. The address they were using was a street in town not too far from me but obviously not mine. Which was fair enough as I'm sure non of us wish to have our exact addresses displayed.

Still fairly high up for the search though, and some guys bless em were taking the map as how to find me. Annoyingly enough a slightly different search in my county brings up at least one possible scam site - you know the sort that charge both ladies and clients to join (guys too if they fancy being a male escort). Right at the top and on the map. I suppose a scam site won't mind giving their exact address on a website. Wonder if someone can complain to google about that one.
