Title: Taking final payment for abroad trip
Post by: kellykisses on 09 July 2012, 09:17:07 am
Hi girls, I have a trip to meet a client (seen before) in dubai for a few days. I have already had cash for flight and a hefty deposit so know it will come off.

Question is how do I get the rest of the fee once there... Not giving my bank details for bank transfer and don't want to be carrying so much cash around whilst there!

I was thinking he could load it onto my cash card but they have limited to 400 or 500 per day don't they, I know you can have your salary paid straight on the cards but anyone know if theres a limit on this method too and if he would need personal info for this?

Thanks in advance. Kx

Also be careful about taking large amounts of cash through airports  :)

You could get a couple of different cards? Or ask he gives you cash out there and you pay it into your own bank account? (if you declare it pay tax etc)

You could buy travellers cheques in stirling, then cash them when you get here.

with regards to dubai it quite easy to send money home most exchange places allow you to send as much money to any country via using bank transfer, so make sure you have your bank account IBAN, and BIC numbers for the relevant bank   So, you don't have to walk around with loads of cash
its easy cheap quick and you just need your passport they don't ask any questions either
