Taking calls when already with a client?? Do or don't
« on: 03 June 2013, 10:54:44 pm »
I don't currently do it as they've paid money for me and deserve my undivided attention and it removes the fantasy of it all for them, talking to other men and arranging (if i'm in the position to i.e i'm not sucking cock). However when i check my calls after a client i have so many missed calls which means i've missed out on potential pay ( But yes of course keep your paying customers happy too) . So i'm confused. What do you think??

Personally i've found a pattern in the calls i get. Clients will be booked in with me during popular hours of 10- 1 then my phones go dead then 4-8. Then dead. So i miss a lot of calls while being with clients but of course have to respect my clients.

What do you do and do you find it works?

Don't.

About the only time it would be vaguely ok would be as part of a humilation-type session, in a 'I'm going to fuck these other men... but not you' way, and even then, they may not appreciate it.

If you want to have a voicemail message that says you will ring them back if they leave a number (and it agrees with the missed call records!) do that.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

I have a call blocker on my BlackBerry which cuts off callers and sends a (neutral) text saying when I'm free and they can call back.

It sends them to voicemail but I don't use it and the recorded greeting tells them not to leave a voice message; if they text I reply as soon as I can (provided they've said that's OK) or they either ring back, or they don't :). I just switch it on and make sure the time in the auto-text is up to date when the current punter is on his way up, and it works great for me.

I spend my undivided attention with clients regardless many like my way of prioritizing them. Even if phone rings ignore until finished booking with them as would find it very rude in my opinion. Some clients will soon look else where if started answering phone calls during their paid time with you. Not long ago a client told me about an escort who texted others while having sex. Thanks to her bad ways gained me a good client who thoroughly enjoyed himself.

I find missed calls after bookings and send them a text leaving them to contact when convenient for them.

When a hotel receptionist answers a phone whilst checking me into a hotel. Frankly that's rude. 100x worse when they are paying for your time!

Like Amy I have the app. Its brilliant!

How do you get that????????
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

I set my voicemail to advise when I'm free to speak, some listen to it, some do not and phone back repeatedly. I put this on at night or when doing anything incompatible with answering the phone during the day.

I could do with an ap for that too.  Currently I just don't answer the phone whilst in a booking and hope they ring back.  Occasionally I'll send a text (if they've called within few minutes just before I've finished a booking), saying "sorry I've missed your call, I'm able to speak now."

Getting an android based phone for escorting was a godsend - the apps for blocking calls or auto replying to texts are great!

Im the same, but I wouldn't dream of texting anyone any longer than a few minutes after the missed call.  Even then it is taking a chance for they may have hung up quickly cos someone (boss/wife/SO) came into the room but the call still registered.

The way I see it if they don't call back then they were just doing a call round lots of escort to find out prices and were probably not a prospective booking anyway.

Exactly LL, and I've found that if they're genuine they DO call back again.

Amy's system sounds great. The Android app I've been using is called 'Blacklist'. It has the option to temporarily block all calls and send an automatic sms but I can't find a send to voicemail option. So far I've just been using it to block all my timewasters and people I've seen before, or talked with/ had txts from, and don't want to see for whatever reason. When I'm working my phones are on silent and after I finish I txt any missed calls to just say 'sorry I missed your call'. I figure if someone other than the client sees that txt they can just lie about who it was from or say it must have been a wrong number.

I don't even keep the mobile on the same room (+ on silent profile ).

1. The client have to feel like he's the only one, and I don't like to be distracted myself,
..
..

100. Older days ;  My worth 2 quid work mobile was stolen by some idiot just on the moment I went to the kitchen to bring some water for him. ( btw ; the business was bad that month, so I lowered the prices what brought me inter alia that thief. - conclusion ; dont be lazy when phone is calling, so you don't have to get stressed later on )
