I offer a drink first and if they decline it is obvious that they want to go straight to the action. If they have a drink, watch the speed they are drinking, and so that you do not look like you are stringing the chat out I usually ask after 5mins or so if they wish to take the drink upstairs. Then go with the flow.
I do the same, except after 5 mins of chat and drinking a glass of water (apparently dehydration can make bad breath worse! So my clients all get given a nice little drinky of H2O

) I get up and tell them that I'm just popping into the bathroom to get the shower running for them (cos they don't get a choice about showering, either! Unless I know for sure they've just come from home or a hotel in a taxi) and that they can get the 'financial bit' sorted at the same time. Then I show them into the bedroom to get changed and give them a towel, tell them there's showergel and mouthwash for them to help themselves to (do mention the mouthwash as it drastically improves the odds that they'll actually use it), and leave them for a few minutes to wash themselves while I count and put away the money, (and check it with a fake-note-checker pen).
The actual bedroom stuff is way simpler than all this! Usually starts with kissing, slow mutual undressing, move onto the bed, touching/stroking and more kissing, then things always go naturally towards oral and full sex. If it's a longer booking or the client wants to be quicker so he can go more than once in an hour, then I'll offer a massage between rounds (after a few minutes cuddle, relax & chat) which makes it easy to subsequently initiate round 2.
Pandora's idea to check out some reviews on punter sites is a good one - it's sometimes amazing what happens in the negative reviews (girls scowling and glaring and refusing to talk to clients, etc; how on earth do they stay in business?!) - although try not to get second-hand burnout before you even finish your first job.
