Newbie...how much to charge for my services?

Hi all,
I have only just joined this site and i must say it is a fantastic base for advice and to get tips on the escorting i have just started to doing.

My question is...how much is the going rate to charge for services? Should i offer different levels of services/payments? At the moment, i have set up on my own after gaining a few clients from a website for naughty meet ups. I am currently charging ?150 for them to visit me (im careful the neighbours are out!) for an hour or however long it takes,but i allow half hour for talking and settling in/relaxing. I wont do anal for that price and i give them a cup of tea/coffee after! One guy wants to group book in advance and suggested a discount for this, but i declined as im still doing the same service. I earn between ?250/400 per week, but not every week.

can anyone give me any advice as to how to proceed? Should ?150 per hour cover everything, or do i need to introduce boundaries to protect myself.

Susie, there really is no 'going rate' - it depends on where you are, what you're offering, how busy you want or have time to be and a thousand other things. I could stick my neck out and say ?100-?150 with the former at the low and the latter at the high end of average, but I personally know ladies who charge at every level between ?80 and ?350 per hour and provided you're happy with the amount of work you're getting that's all that matters.

Have a look around at the people near you who you would consider to be 'competition', or whose ads/offerings are similar to yours, then decide how you're going to work round them - you might want to undercut them slightly whilst you get started, or you might want to price your service higher if you don't want as many clients. Nobody can decide but you.

If you don't have clear boundaries (and if you won't do anal, you do have some) then that's the first thing you need to sort out. Read the main site from start to finish and you should find lots of helpful stuff there :).

In addition to what Amy's said, I would only add that charging a flat fee for everything is by far the easiest thing to do. I know in parlours and flats they charge a lower fee and then add on extras, but I don't think most Indies do that.
Personally I find it hard enough now to remember what my charges are when someone rings up (I charge a bit more when am in London and a bit more for outcalls) and the thought of messing about with extras is too much to contemplate. The only exception I would make is for anal, but as I don't offer it it doesn't apply to me.

Don't take any notice of men who try to haggle on the basis that they will become regulars. They never do! If you want to come to an arrangement with someone further down the line when you really have seen them a lot, then that's up to you, but it should be you who initiates it.

Personally my rate is all inclusive. I looked around at other locals on AW and talked to some escort friends and based mine around that.

As to what is reasonable - it's very area dependent, but also dependent on what kind of escort you're marketing yourself at, I'd say.

wow, you make them a brew? i just want them out asap lol. i would charge by the hour rather than a fee that covers any length of time otherwise you may get piss takers xxx

Many/most girls offer refreshments to clients, especially if their booking is one hour or over - and it helps space out the time too and you can also find out what the guy is/isnt looking for and other mutually agreeable things.

I think you?re right LL, it?s just a hospitable thing to do and when you think someone is spending ?100+ on you, a cup of tea is hardly asking for too much.

You are right Alisha, it is little things like this that makes clients more comfortable and willing to return.  No one wants to feel they are getting tugged off and kicked out the door - and many a client has told me thats how its been with others.  :(
