Standing up for sex worker rights through an agency
« on: 14 December 2011, 09:01:54 pm »
Hi ladies!

I hope you are all well tonight. Sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum but I really just needed some advice from professionals in the industry.
I am currently running an agency with ladies across 3 countries. I have a very good relationship with most of the girls however I have recently started to have an issue with the director of the agency. Just a few of the things he does:
- if he has to pay for their pictures, he has to get a freebie out of it which I have to organise, if not, they have to pay for them.
- uses girls regularly for sex and then when they get attached and try and call him up for money when they are broke, he kicks off
- refuses to consider the girls safety if there is a problem and harasses the girls because he thinks they are lying to us and stealing the money rather than actually believing there is an issue
- uses their pictures without their permission.

Long story cut ladies, he is a nightmare and I find what he does very disrespectful. I have also told him on a number of occassions I am uncomfortable about what he keeps asking me to do and all I get told is if I dont like it, I can stuff it.

With all these bad feelings etc, I have decided to start my own agency. I have been in the industry for nearly 5 years, I know the market where I live and I am able to ensure everything is the way that I want it. My main question is...I would really like to donate a % of the profits per month or quarter to helping organizations that deal with sex worker rights and anti-human trafficing. Is this something I can proudly display as someone who is ready to support and help the cause or do you think this will scare customers off.

Either way, I will be involved and have emailed details off already. Sorry for the long post, I hope it makes sense!

Hi Sorry cant answer your question

but it will depend on where you are based ( country/ies ) who is responsible for funding  for your chosen charity ( if any comes from the gov of that country/church etc ) ...what the legal status of sex work  in that country is ......IMO........that is if chosen charity will/can take a donation off you  to start with .

Most clients wouldn't be scared off ..................... IMO once again if they read that far ;-p others would applaud it .

I know some charities (not sex work ones) wont take donations from brothels/working girls  etc (if they are aware of the details/ facts how you make it  ) and that is in England .

But  i would wait for some one more qualified to answer you ................

BGA, firstly the SAAFE forum is for sex workers only, and I'm afraid that you are only permitted to post in the Advertiser sections (which you are of course free to do once you have your operation up and running). There are other message boards who allow people from all parts of the industry to interact and I would suggest you try somewhere like Punternet; apart from anything else, if you want to know what customers think about something there's little point coming here and asking the providers to speak on their behalf.

Some sex worker organisations find those who make money out of us via agencies or brothels objectionable, but the only way to find out their stance is to ask them. I have to say that if you are only doing so in order to trumpet your benevolence as a marketing tool, they're likely to be unimpressed. And punters won't give a tin shit one way or the other provided they get a decent value service from a lady who turns up on time, looks like her photos and doesn't try to sting them for more money.
