I have just cut off one of my regs i have known years. I started to accept payment at the end of the bookings with him. The last visit I noticed he put £10 down, as he was walking out the door I noticed in time, he made out he picked the wrong pocket. He did pay the correct fee. But I do think he was testing me to see if he could get away with it or not.
He been getting hard work going 20 mins over booked time. Trying on services I don’t offer. He only books 30 mins. Final cherry on the cake was when he cancelled on me 20 mins before the booking was due. I told him on this occasion I had to be on schedule as had I had a busy day. So I think he cancelled due to letting him know you will only be getting 30 mins today and can’t go over.
He was once a very good client respected boundaries, never overstayed. I shouldn’t have accepted payment at the end but as I known him years I thought I could trust him . I now have learned if you give them an inch, they run a mile. Shame when at one point they have been such good regulars . Case of When regulars turn bad. Now all clients even regs have to pay upfront.
