I'm starting work here soon! Because my Spanish isn't good enough yet I'm going to be with an outcall agency. If it's not sufficient for me I'm going to do indie from hotels as I did in London, but would need to get my Spanish up to a level where I'd feel comfortable screening.

Will keep you posted!

Sorry to disappoint you, but a Spanish girl contacted me privately here to advise her how to start in the UK: several weeks later she emailed me from the UK and apparently she was doing well.  By contrast, she was complaining how bad is in Spain.

I guess you will need lots of luck there, as is not the same market as in the UK.

All the best to everyone.

Hello everyone, I'm Spanish and I have worked many years in Spain, although I still do some tours mainly in northern Spain, Asturias, Cantabria and the Basque country and I maintain that even some customers. Excuse me if I make errors in my grammar, my English is not perfect yet,if I expand on the text it is to explain the situation. Spain has good things and bad things related to escorting.
You feel very safe working there and not have the fear of aggressive clients or being robbed, very small exceptions may occur of course. When I started working in Ireland and the UK was shocked by the constant threat of being robbed and alertness. It is very strange to be robbed while working there and there no exist such stress. Spanish customers are very affectionate . The law is very permissive with both customers and escorts except for issues related to work in public street offering your services or sexual exploitation and pimping. I really miss the tranquility of work in Spain for its friendly atmosphere.
It is precisely why there is a huge huge number of escorts, because of this permissiveness and freedom at work, for many years there was a massive influx of girls from abroad, of which many colleagues in this business have complained that they have lowered prices and offered very cheap services. I'm afraid that this has happened in many countries not only in Spain.A philosophy that has marred the work in recent years.
After explaining all this, I have to say that if you know how to organize yourself in Spain you can work  well . In Barcelona, Madrid and Marbella there are high-class agencies, you can google to find them  and contact them to get some info, having some good photos and an attractive physique for an exquisite public if that's what you are looking for .Also you can work independently from a hotel or holiday apartment, also rooms that are rented for independent escorts but for that you need to speak fluent Spanish and know how to advertise  yourself  into popular websites because really there are lots of girls on this business.
I always go independent, my favorite cities are Oviedo and Gijon (Asturias county) Santander (Cantabria county) and San Sebastian (Basque Country) all in northern Spain. For me they are great customers and pay similar prices to Uk.
I hope I've helped and if you need more information send me a private message.
Carmen xx

That's all fantastic advice, thank you. I had heard that Spain could be tricky as its a great place to work therefore there's a lot of girls.

Thank you carmen for giving some inside knowledge, I will look into it further :)

Hi,

I'm visiting Spain this June & July and I'm thinking of renting an apartment in or near Barcelona to work out of.
I've been independent in the US and only advertise on eros.com. I'd prefer not to work for an agency but I speak only English. Would anyone recommend using a booking assistant or have suggestions on where to find a trustworthy assistant?

I'm open to working for an agency if being indie is unrealistic. I've heard good things about the agencies [removed].
For advertising I've heard good things about erosguia & open adult directory.

Any info would be super helpful!

I'm interested in touring Spain, too - even though I don't have the legal right to work in other EU countries.

Anyway, did you know that you can get pretty close to conversational in Spanish by June/July if you work at it every day during your downtime? I started studying on Boxing Day (December 26) via apps like DuoLingo and eight weeks later I went to Barcelona for a couple of days with a relative. I was able to ask for things in shops and restaurants.

I hope you get some good answers - I know there are a couple of Spanish girls on here. I'd like to try it, myself!

I think that depends very much on your aptitude for it. Maybe if you already speak another language and know how to go about it would help a lot. I made a big mistake when someone told me something similar and I tried to learn a language over six months, and I completely failed. I could remember a lot of words but the structure of the language and the grammar completely defeated me and I had to abandon that idea. A lot of wasted effort.

Well, I suppose it might depend on the language in question. Some are easier than others. Spanish is pretty easy in some ways, but the verbs can be a bit of a pain. French is pretty easy, but hard to speak (for me) because French people are hard to understand with all those silent letters. German is easy to understand so long as they are saying words I know, but the grammar is extremely difficult.

You've just confirmed everything I thought. It's a complete non starter unless you already have a second language and have an aptitude for it. Too dangerous when there is so much scope for misunderstanding with clients. I don't see anyone who doesn't speak clear understandable English, and that rules out some men who have been in the UK a long time.

Off topic but My husband speaks fluent Spanish he has never lived abroad or gone to college to learn

He is self taught but he started with linguaphone within 3 months he was able to converse generally
He then took private lessons for several years and immersed himself with Spanish speaking friends

The majority of our holidays have been to Spanish speaking countries
People are always amazed when one minute he is talking to me with a strong  bristolian accent and the next chatting in fluent Spanish to the waiter . He can chat on the phone read & write in Spanish
He is also able to have conversational Italian & Portuguese because the languages are fairly similar

I would reccomend linguaphone PDQ beginners pack which if you listen to for 30 mins every day and make notes is good enough for general holiday Spanish
You also need a really good Spanish /English Dictionary for the verbs  the oxford Spanish/English is the best and ideally some Spanish speaking friends or a boyfriend 😃

Most cities in the UK have interercambio exchanges often in pubs where people go to swop English / Spanish look them up on gumtree and they are free

He has been speaking it probably 15 years now but he was pretty fluent within 3years
It's usefull on holidays as we never get ripped off 😃

I only know how to say I don't speak Spanish im English ( I can say that perfectly ) ive tried many times to learn Spanish practically every bloody year before I go on holiday but I fail miserably

Colleges teach the grammar / verbs but don't really teach you how to speak or get confidence I think ive met a lot of people who have done A level Spanish but can't really speak it but they know the verbs
