South Ayrshire...small town??
« on: 07 August 2024, 08:27:54 pm »
I own a flat in a small town in south Ayrshire in Scotland. I'm considering working from there as I don't live there anymore. I was going to rent it to a private tenant but now I'm thinking of working there or renting it to another escort. Has anyone worked in this area? I guess I have nothing to lose if I try. I can't see any profile on AW for this area I don't know if that is good or bad!! I don't care about neighbours finding out what I'm doing as I don't really know anyone locally. I bought the flat mainly as an investment I have no ties to the area.

I should also add the entrance is quite discreet round the back of tenement buildings. Not sure how easy parking would be. The back of the flats looks a bit rough, fly tipping is common as some buildings are empty, overgrown so that could be a bit off putting but the flat itself is nicely decorated and perfect layout for working as the kitchen/living room is separate from the bathroom and bedroom.

I haven't worked in that area but in my experience some punters might consider the empty properties preferable on a discretion level compared to lived in. I would mention the empty properties perhaps in the directions, or if the punter asks if your property is private or discrete. You could explain some building are empty, does look a bit derelict but means we don't have anyone over looking. There may be some who are odd, but I've experienced reactions to absolutely nothing and or in a very nice area - some people will pick at or be nervous about anything.

Main thing is can people travel to you fairly easily?

I don't know if I'm gonna work there myself because I don't really like working independently. But I will try and rent ti some ladies that I know and they can handle it how they choose. I'm.might advertise on here but I would rather stick to people I know already.  I work in parlours and agencies around the UK so I meet quite a few that do indi tours too.

I'm hoping due to the complete lack providers in the area they can't be too fussy lol..I might try and clean up the communal area a bit myself

The problem with renting it to other sex workers is you start to move towards commiting a criminal offence, I am aware many do do this but is there a reason you want to let to sex workers and not non-sex workers.

Also is the property freehold or leasehold?

I'd be wondering how much work there'd be with no other escorts advertising.
When I book a new place I usually look at the size of population and compare that to number of workers advertising. The ratio will give me a reasonable idea of competition. What size is the town?

But if you price it competitively to other escorts more in the 3-400 a week range than the 5-600 then I'm sure you'll get workers giving it a go. And as time goes on you'll find out whether there's a market there.

I think it should be OK if I only have one worker at time. And it's freehold and I own it outright so no mortgage. Obviously I don't want to get in trouble. I know scottish police can be stricter than in England. If only I worked or only rented to one worker on a regular basis then it wouldn't be a brothel would it?

I haven’t worked in south Ayrshire myself. However, I do work in a very rural, sparsely populated area south of the border where there are also very few escorts. The reason is that it is very difficult to sustain a good and regular income from a small population. If you already own the property and don’t have accommodation costs then that will help but think about the radius that clients will be travelling within and how big a population that is likely to be. Most men don’t punt. Are there enough punters that will visit you?

I was only gonna charge something like 250 per week or 50 per day because I don't even have a mortgage to pay and the flat was super cheap i would feel bad charging any more. Especially for friends ..it not a big town but people would travel from Ayr, Prestwick or Troon. Especially if there are no other options. Which there don't seem to be. My friend worked in north Ayrshire and said she had a lot of interest. Most clients end up going to Glasgow cos of the lack of local options.

There are over 100k people in south Ayrshire most would be within around 30min drive. Also train station is minutes from my flat but I think most people would be Driving

I mainly tour if I do work from the flat it would only be occasional not my main income. Or would rent to other ladies to tour. There are larger towns about 20 or 30 mins drive away

I want to rent short term so can still use the flat myself when I want and obviously I'm a SW so I know what kind of things to provide and help our community...oh and make money obviously lol I'm I'm not some kind of charity. If I rented the flat long term I could only get about 400pm and short term holiday let's would be seasonal so I makes sense. But obviously I don't want to get done for brothel keeping.

Lots of ladies tell me they have had negative experiences renting from people who are not SWs and just want to make money and don't have any idea how the industry works. I don't want to exploit anyone just make a bit extra cash and help out my friends and colleagues. I wouldn't make them pay if they didn't earn anything

I have decided I don't want to work there myself now but I am hoping to rent to just one friend on a casual basis.  I hope that is legal. I will probably be in the flat but just for company and extra security. I hope I am not going to be breaking the law.

You will be breaking the law but if you run it the way you say you are l doubt the police would care. Not all ladies would want you to be in there while they are working.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

I wouldn't insist on being there. Only if they want me to. It's a friend not a random person and I think one of her concerns is the safety aspect of working alone because she normally works in sauna/parlours.

I agree it's unlikely police would bother me. I don't think neighbours are particularly friendly or concerned with what is going on. Hence the fly tipping and general poor matinence of the communal areas.

Am I right in thinking you are scottish? Do the police have a harsher stance on this kind of thing? I worked in Sauna in Edinburgh and Glasgow agency with multiple SP under one roof. Do know anything about Ayrshire?

Yes l am Scottish. The police won’t get involved unless there are complaints from neighbours or if you end up with a lady grassing you up. In your case l don’t think either will happen. I would not say the Scottish police any different from England.

I’m from South Ayrshire and know the area well but I have never worked there (although I have worked other areas in Scotland and still do occasionally).

I can’t see any problems with what you are proposing and you won’t know about client interest until you try.

As for the police, they’ve got better things to do, especially with the area being as you describe.

Good luck and let us know how it goes x
