I did my first ever booking today, which went well. I have thought about escorting for some years now, and decided to take the plunge and advertise on AW a couple of weeks ago. Although I have had some enquiries, I have no pics at the moment whch has slowed the process of getting bookings down considerably.
I have read many posts on here, on Punternet, on PrettyBigescorts, and collected a reasonable database of information. But I would like to know if I made any obvious mistakes today, so that I can make sure not to make them again lol!
The client booked me by telephone from a mobile number. I asked him for his full name, took the address (outcall) and postcode, and asked if he had any special requirements (he didn't.) Discussed my fee and arranged a time. I did ask if he had a landline, but he said he hadn't. This made me wary but as I had arranged for a friend to drive me and wait outside I decided the risk was minimised.
I wasn't sure what to take with me -as he hadn't asked for toys, or a particular dress code.
I took an assortment of condoms, flavoured lubes, a massage oil and mouthwash.
when i arrived I called my friend immediately to tell her i was inside and all was fine. I made it clear with him within earshot that she was outside.
We sat in his front room and chatted briefly about how long he had lived there etc. Then I said 'shall we get the business side of things out of the way so we can enjoy ourselves' and he paid me. The money wasnt in an envelope so it was easy to count it without being TOO blatant.
I put it into an inside pocket of my bag and zipped it up, although since then i have read on here that I shouldn't have let him see where i put it.
Then i asked if he wanted to stay in the living room and he said' lets go through', which we did.
Now obviously you dont need ALL the details, but suffice to say all went well. At the end of my hour I told him 'It's been lovely spending time with you, but I must make a move as my driver will be getting restless'.
He said that he had enjoyed it and would like to see me again, i said 'that would be great, you have my number'.
Dressed and left (forgot that i was meant to call friend again as i was leaving).

I am sorry for the long post, but I'd be grateful if other ladies would, having read this, tell me if they think I did anything wrong!

Personally I don't think checking the landline is much use for security, that's what my driver's for. I do check it against directory enquiries (for out of town visits) though, to avoid being the victim of timewasters.

Genuine callers may not have a landline or be x-directory, in which case the electoral role is an option but that has two problems. Firstly, if they've done this before they might have the foresight to look up a random name and address to use. Secondly, there's been an opt-out from the public version of the electoral for the last five years or so, and I don't know why anyone who's noticed that would choose to have their details publicly available.

I suppose appearing on the role helps a bit if you're checking as a security measure, but I don't think it's useful for avoiding timewasters. If the landline isn't an option I take a small deposit. You can use Adultwork if you don't mind them taking a third off you, online gift vouchers, or mobile phone credit. You can also use paypal but 1) unless you upgrade to a business account your real name will be shown, and 2) if paypal find out they'll suspend your account and possibly freeze your funds for a year. This isn't that big a deal if you keep your account empty and have a spare bank account (such as a savings account) that you can use to set up a new paypal account. I've done it.

I think for your first time you did well. Didn't it feel good having all your rules in place?
As Anika Mae says, not having a landline doesn't necessarily rule out timewasters, no matter what you do, timewasters are part and parcel of this industry I'm sorry to say. But I still wouldn't go anywhere without a landline number. But then I don't have a driver, I take myself to and from bookings. And I feel loads better having that extra security in place. If anybody is reluctant to give me a landline number, or say that he doesn't have one, if I can't check him on the electoral roll, then I just don't go. It's as simple as that. I explain my reasons why and most gents are understanding. I tell them they're more than welcome to come and see me at my incall base in London. And it's good to tell clients that you have a driver waiting for you. They know that there's somebody not too far from their residence should you be in any trouble.

It's also good that you asked the client if he had any special requirements. Then if they ask for say, a strap-on midway through the booking and you don't have it, you don't have to feel bad, because you did ask. A girlie bag would normally consist of what you described, but as Richard said, don't forget the wipes. Baby ones or feminine ones. They work a lot better than tissues and they don't crumble and flake.
As for what to wear, again ask the client, so you'll know what to bring with you. You'll find that you'll be topping up your call girl gear. Stockings and sussies seem to do it for most clients. But you may come across some with fetishes for pvc, uniforms etc. But one step at a time.

Apart from all that, I think you did brilliantly.

The opt-out for the electoral roll only affects the version that must be (un-thank you Thatcher) available for sale to marketeers. The version that's given to political candidates, and should be available for inspection in libraries - so you can check you're on it - is the one that should only be missing places like women's refuges and other highly sensitive addresses.

I take email-able Amazon 'vouchers' for deposits, an idea I think I got from Anika Mae (thanks). They have the advantages of being nicely anonymous, unrecallable, no problems with stupid Paypal rules and there's always something on Amazon I want.

Those websites that people use to look up electoral role details are sold the edited version. I'm sure of this because I can't find myself on them.

I'm moving away from Amazon vouchers. I like them for the reasons you mentioned, but there's been two occasions now when someone's sent me one that's never been delivered. The senders weren't charged so we didn't get into an argument, but it can still be a headache.

On paper, it's easy: you use an index to see which polling district (usually each ward - the area that elects councillors - has several polling districts) an address is in, then look at the relevant register to see who's listed at that address.

Online, you go to sites like 192.com, although a Google search will throw up lots of alternatives. When 192 started up, they bought copies of the paper version, then sent them to some country with cheap labour to type in the details. The results weren't very good: their first data for the place I was then living had six names listed - four of them didn't exist in reality and they didn't include me or another person who actually was on the roll.

As Anika Mae says, they now buy the electronic no junk mail version that consists only of the people who haven't opted out of having their details sold to anyone who asks. So the absence of a name at an address doesn't mean that they don't live there, but the presence of a name means they very probably did, at least several months ago.
