Too good to be true?
« on: 29 July 2010, 05:00:39 pm »
I know, I know, if you have to ask then the answer is usually yes.

I've just got a text asking if I would come to a party with 3 men and one other woman for ?3000. The party is 8pm - 1am. The person texting me said that they were offering so much because a *~*famous person*~* is going to be involved. I texted back saying I'd be up for it potentially but reminded them of a few rules (I don't offer double penetration, facials, anything without condoms, and I won't continue if anyone is drinking alcohol or doing drugs). He said fine, and asked if he could book.

I'm waiting on location details, but there's a few things that don't seem quite right. For a start, a text booking. I do allow text bookings and a lot of genuine clients do use them because they're convenient and some people don't like talking on the phone. But for ?3000 worth of services wouldn't you want to talk to the lady? It's last minute, for something that's obviously going to cost them a fair amount of money wouldn't they have put it together in advance? Also, they asked me to send more photos (I said that all my photos are on my site and I don't have picture messaging anyway).

So, assuming the obvious things work out (the address checks out fine, etc) is this too good to be true, or an awesome job that will make me temporarily rich? ?3000 is a lot to turn down but my instincts say either timewaster, or dangerous.

(obviously if I go I will be taking the money upfront and sending it home with a buddy in a taxi).

Do you know already for how long will be the booking?
He came in the morning and woke me up with killer instinct. Wish I could stop this now.

Yeah, it's 5 hours. I'd normally charge ?420 and I don't charge extra for multiple people (though there are sanity limits on how many I'd want to see at a time), so it's more than 6x my usual rate.

There are two ways: or it's  a time waster or they want to pay so high rate as kind of discretion guaranty.

That's kinda what I figured - if they are genuine and they just want my discretion though, they're kinda nuts for offering so much. I've kept big secrets for much less.

Interesting. Did they name the famous person? If so, forget it. If not, mmm. I would play along for a bit and say you would only be willing to go if you could take your security. It sounds quite weird, and although I have nothing against parties I would want at least one of the ladies there to be previously known to me.

No, they didn't name him. They specified the area he's famous in (like singing/acting/sports/etc) which I'm not even gonna say cos if it is genuine that's narrowing it down a bit more than I would be comfortable doing. If they'd name dropped I wouldn't have taken it seriously for a second, lol.

Right now I'm still waiting to hear back with location and the info I'd need for security, it may just be some teenager with a phone playing stupid pranks. If I hear back I'll play along but I'll definitely be careful to the point of paranoid :P

Sounds unlikely to me. Either you're a discreet professional or you're not, how is more money going to help? I'm thinking it's either someone playing around or a scam. Check that they intend to pay in cash.

Thanks :) I've still heard nothing back from my text asking for location and details so I think they were just screwing around, or trying to scam me somehow and didn't want to answer the questions I had.

I've just got a text asking if I would come to a party with 3 men and one other woman for ?3000.

A text? I'm sorry but I can't quite imagine a famous person's PA (or PR for that matter) text an escort they know nothing about to ensure she won't sell a "Sex Orgy with Mr Respectable & Famous" story to the tabloids. Can you?

Also, they asked me to send more photos <snip!>

Enough said... I could place money on it being teenage boys trying to get free pics for nothing. What shocks me with this thread is that a few others here seem to hope it's for real.  ::) I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but unless it's a prank it could be a hell of a lot dodgier than that.

Personally, I would not agree to see a group of men I haven't even spoken to on the phone with. Let alone met them earlier to know that they would be alright. Sounds way too risky for me to be worth it, whatever money is offered.

Quite - a request for "more pics plzz" usually accompanies typical timewaster twaddle!

E.g. Hello, I am a foreign person with a very wealthy client who would like to meet you. He is going to pay you ?1,000,000,000,000 to meet him in Dubai. Can you get on a plane tomorrow? Also, more pics plzzz!!1!

And: Hi! I am looking to make a long booking with you, maybe a long weekend or maybe even more! Aren't you enticed by my obvious wealth and charm? In order to convince me you should receive the pleasure of my penis, you should send me more pics plz!

Etc. I have never known a genuine client ask for more pictures. One or two have asked for a face pic, probably just to irritate me to death, but that's not at issue here. :P

That said, I actually am getting some more pictures done soon. But nobody needs to nag anyone about it!

If I received a text like that I would take it with a pinch of salt. I might text "Call me" and see what happens but wouldn't hold my breath.

In my experience, the wealthier the client the less information they need! They don't keep asking for pics, they don't have endless questions... my theory is that it's because a few hundred pounds is nothing to them and if they don't like you, they'll just send you home and get another.

So, yeah, probably a timewaster. But you may as well play along, as long as you don't get your hopes up. You never know.

Yeah, as expected it didn't come to anything. I have had genuine bookings by text, and genuine clients ask for more pics, some really are just stupid, haha.
