so many emotions!
« on: 28 July 2009, 10:15:49 pm »
Hello Ladies! I am so grateful I found this forum! You see I've always wanted to become an escort. Even when I was still a child it seemed such a powerful experience (granted, I probably didn't grasp the full extent of it at the time) I almost made the step two times, setting an appointment but cancelling later. I never went through with it because of the reputation of the job.

Yet here I am now, I am graduating this summer, finally no more uni for me. I was planning to go to London to find a job and realised making ends meet would be very difficult, which is why I ended up really researching escorting for the first time. I am so glad to see that statistics like 80% drug users seem to just not be true, and I feel now that I should absolutely go for this. I am excited and a tiny bit scared.

Of course, like every newie, I have lots of questions, I will spare you most of them, as I have plenty of time to research more. But I do have some which I would love to have answered.

How do you decide on your working name? You've probably guessed by now that English is not my mothertongue, I am quite afraid of picking a name that is out of date or will turn people of. Usually people call me Jo, I was thinking about Joey, but that might be too masculine?

How do you determine your rate? Can you work both as an indie and for an agency?

Can you live of this? Should I be worried about not being able to pay my bills? Would it make sense to start part-time or is availability more important?

In case I find a job and have flexible work hours, which days/ times are usually busiest?

Okay, so that were a lot of questions, I am sorry, but I do thank you for taking the time to answer!

I didn't! Your english is better than a lot of native speakers...

And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Hi there I am Violette, one of the many ladies on this forum who have worked for many years as professional, 10 years for me this last May, so yes you can do this as a profession, and pay bills. (I am only a crack ho on the weekends, Just kidding!  8)
Your rate is usually determined by the area you are working in plus a bit more on top, to help you stand out from the crowd. Again your busiest days will be determined by the area you are in. Also you can tour, like I do to different cities, and to some different countries, but that will come with time. As to a name, how does Josephine(a), Josey, Jose(with an accent so pronounced Jo-say), Jojo, Joline, JayLo-If you have a faint resemblance to her this is a good thing to capitalize on. :)
As to the English, as Benny said, it is better than many native speakers, so don't worry about it. Also if you make a mistake whilst speaking, the clients will think it endearing, and unique.
So good luck in your new choosen profession.

First of your working name does not have to stem of your own so you can go wild and pick anything you want maybe there is a name you really like or something you would call your future kid. My mothertongue is not english either and i went for something that could be used in both language "Kat" in my mothertongue is the same as Cat in english.

Your rate depends totally on you but if you look at what the general rates is in your area and you ask abit below that untill you get regulars or established clients and once you also get more comfortable with the job your confidence will show and then your prices can reflect that. I work indie and in a parlour so yes just depend if the parlour would let you.

The more you available the more punters you will get there is no set time that is busier than others one week i am busy on tuesdays other week nothing.. If you really want to make this job work and you put your heart into it you can live of it but you need to perseveer (sorry spelling not good) and dont give up at the first hurdle.

I might be totally wrong and if any other WG can set me straight please do so
