I know this is not really a question but I was looking to join the industry and

Someone on collarme is using my picture to pretend to be a lesbian! The weirdest bit for me is that s/he's claiming to be 27 when I have a baby face and was 21 when it was taken.

I think AW is pretty good about removing profiles with stolen photos, if you can send them a link to where it appears on the site you took it for they'll probably sort it out.

This one reason for having a 'watermark' with, say, your URL on your pictures.

A picture I did of some condoms ended up being used by numerous people and in a way that used our bandwidth too. So, resisting the temptation to ensure people doing so got goatse instead, a watermark was added and a couple of them did apologise.

Watermarks help, but people will chop them off and use them anyway. That's what happened with the collarme picture, but collarme are crap and won't accept that as proof of copyright infringement. I don't want to cover the focus of my pictures with watermarks so I deal with the fact that they'll turn up in some unexpected places. :-/

I remember when myself and Anika Mae and a few other ladies had problems about a year ago with a webmaster who stole pictures from our sites and used it on his directory. We went through a lot of trouble to have him removed. I'd written to him repeatedly asking for my pics to be removed, to no avail. I ended up sending numerous faxes to his hosting company with proof that the pics weren't his to take and that he didn't seek permission. On an old pic he had of Anika Mae the bastard had actually removed the watermark. I sent links to both pics to show what he'd done.
I'm afraid nicking images is pretty common. Watermarked or not.
