Could be quieter for quite some time now.

Guys can't always come up with reasons for 'escaping' in order to visit.  Some are pulled in for 'parental duties' which they dont always do and others just dont have the money after spending it all on their pressies.  :(

We just got to take what we can, when we can at this time.

I agree - even if punters want to visit and have the money people's plans change (or more often get changed for them) at a drop of the hat over the next week or two; visitors turn up unexpectedly, last minute panic shopping because they forgot the parsnips, family stuff can all scupper the best laid plans. I've got a few regulars booked in this week, but I had a very busy tour last week so even if everybody cancels it's not the end of the world.

I would recommend either hanging about ready for the super-short notice folk who suddenly get a window of punting opportunity or get on with your week, don't sweat it and just be happy for whatever bobbles along with a daft grin at a time that suits you (no prizes for guessing which I'll be doing).

Hmm..Usually X-mas is the busiest time of the year for me but for some strange reason this is proving to be a very quiet X-mas. Taxi drivers and restaurant owners are telling me the same thing so ..hey! I'm not alone. And yes, a lot of " Can you see me in half an hour?". grrr

Yes, last week was extremely busy for me too, at some points would have been nice to have a split personality and let 'the other half' do some of the work.

Although I've had a few bookings today it is a lot quieter than normally at this time of year and I'm with Amy - after Thursday I wont be hanging about waiting for anyone.

Phew! I'm glad I'm not alone  ::) Last December was REALLY busy for me, but this year is quiet. It's quite frustrating actually...

I'm really frustrated and hacked off as due to ongoing UTI problems I've had to turn down loads of bookings in the last couple of weeks  >:( :( >:( :(

I think there are probably loads of extra girls working for Xmas that problably don't do it all year round.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

I have been away a lot in the last few weeks (work fortunately). I have had almost no enquiries from newbies running up to Xmas. Phone is dead.  However, lots of lovely dinner/lunch/overnights with regulars. Most bearing gifts too  ;D

I was very busy last week and this week is totally dead.  I've had a few cancellations and nothing to replace them. I'm rarely busy in the run up to Xmas, so being busy last week was a bonus!

I was really really busy in the first week of december, but now it's slowed right down ::) I'm getting one job a day, which is still good, but Decembers are usually much better than this...
