If i worked like i would never tour. 4 years ago though i did used to get advance bookings and even without showing a number on my ads for a few months. Now days it's very rare apart from a few regular guys that might book me.

Your post made me think, EG... I decided to do something I wasn't doing before. To display my number on AW.
(Yes, it's a work number but I really didn't want to show it to everyone. Like, I don't know these people, I don't really like them, I'm not giving them my phone number.
Also, I was relying on advance bookings and thought that if a client wants to book, he will make an effort and message on AW or email.
Wrong. So many wrong assumptions.)
Anyhoo, after I showed the number, the phone started ringing. It was wild. It felt like I finally found where the party has been happening all this time.
Things were all right.

But... fast forward. On this particular, recent day, I had no advance bookings. Previously, I would have tried to cancel the hotel but now I thought that I shouldn't be a wuss and the bookings will come on the day.
They didn't. I changed the photo and set up all the AW bells and whistles. The profile got more hits on that day than ever, I think. People were looking. But they were not booking
My phone was not broken as I received messages from a guy whose I would guess main life achievement was amassing an impressive amount of warning reports.
I ended up ordering a 2-days worth of calories from the room service.
I went back home with a deficit of money and a surplus in calories. Rethinking my life now.

The moral of this long story is that it's slow at the minute.

One more Rodeo you got unlucky with it just being quiet and not working on your trial go. Overall it does get more in by having number up when you need to work but weird times at the moment and things are definately not the same changes of patterns happening.

The above depends on whether you view migrant sex workers charging rock bottom rates as your competition; they aren't mine any more than the Soho walkups or party organisers are. Prostitution has existed as long as humans have, and I doubt that's going to change any time soon.

There have always been and will always be people charging more and people charging less; just as there have always been some punters are price sensitive and some who are not. If price mattered that much, most people here would have no bookings (including me, probably). It doesn't.

This pattern of behaviour seems to be getting common — happened to me a few days ago

That's bloody frustrating .. if all the time wasters turned up we'd all make a fortune

Amy.  Reading your comments , I see you are as a very smart and intelligent person.  I don't consider them a competitor either.  But their "existence " and "work morale" make our work very difficult.  It became completely different than it was a year , or a half ago.  I need to do more marketing to be able to offset the changed circumstances.  Now just the aw profile is not enough.  Complex marketing is a must if I don’t want "zero revenue " days on my tours.
Which when  I would be at a losses.  I still see that tour work is already on the border when the ratio of expenses and income makes me  think maybe , I about stopping it  close future.

I don't think only eastern Europeans or Brazilian girls have "low morals" or our "existence " is taking bookings from you.
Maybe you should advertise more or the area you're in it's not good / it may be very slow. And like Amy said, prices has nothing to do with clientele base. Some pay more and some pay less...

And please don't put all the girls( EE, brazilians etc.) in the same pot, because it's not the case.
