After having a really busy week last week I managed to shave my fanny and cut it :( ooooo I have a massive scab , scabby fanny :( it's managed to heal enough but not enough to work I'm also on my period as well on Wednesday  so a week of no work. Debating whether to take noristhone to delay my period but don't know if it will heal by the end of the week.

Ouch ..

It has been quiet today but I am still smiling as I hand over this apartment soon. Just about to get in the shower for an out call.
Quietness reminds me about that I have made the right choice not being at the mercy of clients. I am at the mercy of me now, what do I decide to do is my attitude now. :)

I normally never work from mid jan - mid Feb starting back after the half term and always go on holiday
But because my stupid dog hurt his paw I had to go on holiday later than planed and worked through January and early Feb and was surprised at how busy it was so I will probably do the same next year
Friends have been working in Feb and have been mega busy so I guess it depends on where you are in the country

February has been great this year. I honestly think it depends on destination but I have been surprisingly busy at home too, inbetween tours.

February is now a good work month for me.

After having a really crappy two weeks I'm actually fully booked for this week just a couple of one hour slots available. Bloody sods law my hand is playing up. Do any ladies who do massage have any tips to keep presure off the hand when doing a booking. I rested it all weekend but it's hurting after working today x

Maybe try a forum like massageprofessionals dot com for advice? I don't know what the problem is with your hand(s), and am certainly not qualified or experienced enough to comment much. I do know that the saddle joint of the thumb is most vulnerable in massage therapists, so maybe use a knuckling technique instead of applying pressure with your thumbs, and to apply pressure with long strokes use your underarm. Localised pressure with your elbow maybe?

I don't want to stray off topic too much (slow at the minute....), but you're more likely to find useful stuff at forums for practitioners of complementary medicine.

Also, I see there is heaps of advice on self care for massage therapists on youtube.

You're probably using your hand the wrong way, bending your wrists while pressing or have a bad body posture when massaging. Wrong position of your neck can compress nerves that come out of your cervical area and give you all sorts of hands issues. Before the problem gets worse or turns into an RSI (Repeated stress inury) I would make a booking with a good local physio and get it treated. Plus physios work with their hands too and are very good at taking care of these issues.

-apologies for the off topic, i know this is the "slow at the minute thread"-

I don't know what happened but so far this year, it has been awful. December was great but I was already having thoughts about quitting due to stress. I have only been attracting time wasters lately. I can't do this anymore, I need a break. This is not worth it for me.

Phone was going off after 5pm, managed to see some men, but I couldn't handle it. It's like God answered my prayers.
