Business has been very slow for me over the last month, does it generally pick up after the summer holidays?

Depends on many factors, I'm steady away most of the year and don't see much affect from holidays.

I'm the same as I don't notice any difference at holiday times usually.  Summer is no different for me.

I find a difference the last week in January and likewise, February. This year for some reason, April was my quietest month.

I find bank holidays a wash out for me personally. I'm going on tour on bank holiday next week but only to be ready to start on the Tuesday morning.

Do you tour or are you based in one location?

I don't find any difference at any time of the year. Older clients are unlikely to be needed for childcare during school holidays as it is usually left to the grandmother rather than grandpa so he can escape for a little punt if he wishes. Younger clients will find time for a booking if they really want one.

Same at Christmas for me, I haven't noticed any real difference in bookings.

in my experience, yes change depend about season!
pre christmas very busy and after slowly but ok
January busy
July very busy and August slowly but ok
Bank Holiday are ok, but slowly

to me depend client`s age, lifestyle as well
at least my clients if married...they stay in family in holidays time. (in general)

I put up a tenner off holiday special - seems to have worked wonders! Loads of newbies. And I'm sure they'll be back too  ;)

Today has been slow in London and damn crazy! To make matters worse, I left the money I made back at my hotel :(  This morning I woke up contemplating on whether or not I should work. Only had 1 appt, the rest were tw's. I had a date later on and had two glasses of spritz apertif and back on the train home I thought to myself where the hell did I put my money! After my appointment, I left it in a safe place in my hotel, but didnt take it back out! I panicked and rung the hotel! I nearly cried on my train, I thought today had been a waste! Luckily the housekeeping staff are very friendly and no one took it because they said they found it and I will be able to collect it any time.
