Well alcohol isn't inextricably linked with socialising and I wouldn't expect any service provider I booked to be under the influence of anything, but the reason I don't drink when I'm working is because I want my wits about me and my judgement not to be clouded in case something goes wrong. But I don't enjoy drinking anyway, so it's no great shakes.

And I've been busy too, so as a result am going home for a bath :).
It just makes me feel extra sociable, as I'm a bit of an introvert - I like my own company. And the sex feels nicer, more relaxing especially with men who keep going on and on and on and on and on... and then he asks if I came or even how many times did I orgasm? I lost count babe... (it felt nice at least).

I completely agree.
At the end of the day everyone has had a quiet day or two here and there. Personally I think it's completely out of order to send unsolicited texts. I have several regulars and I wouldn't dream of contacting them if I'm quiet. They contact me and I reply that's how it works for me.

I agree that if you're quite to improve your photos and advertise everywhere! When I came off holiday it took a few days to pick up and I took a bunch of new photos and edited my "about me" and that's all it took to be fully booked!

I always edit my profile and change my pictures around and take new ones weekly and slowly upload them to my private gallery, it keeps the views coming in!
I knew it when I responded with that message, I thought shall I say it or not so they don't have to respond with such messages? or will they know what I mean, from experience of knowing tactfully when and not to text?

I only (randomly?) send texts to regulars who I know are okay with it. And even then its like a "Hi how are you?" or similar to make sure nothing negative result from it.

Yeh on the odd occasion I've had a half glass of wine thinking the day is dead and done, then get a booking, but I always make sure to stop then!  Even if you think you are in control, with even a small amount of alcohol in you, you are not.

Safety, safety, safety is what matters.

I would never in a million years text a regular touting for business! Apart from it seeming desperate I have fucked enough punters and been wise with my money enough to not need to.
If something is not perceived it doesn't exist.

I don't think I will return to London for a few months.

My thoughts exactly the last time I was there!

I personally think its unprofessional to send clients texts to drum up business but that's me, I imagine my clients would be horrified to have me text them full stop.

On it being quiet I'm a daytime worker and I'll happily call it a day if my phone isn't ringing or a booking lined up by 1pm, we all know we can be dead as the grave one day then flavour of the month the next, as Scarlett O'Hara famously said "After all...Tomorrow is another day" is my mantra when its quiet.

Definitely up's and down's in this job! I am also a daytime worker (till 5 or 6pm at the latest) and there has been so many times where I haven't had a booking by 1pm or even 2 or 3 but I tend to stick it out and then normally they will all come flooding in at once! Have been known to turn it right around and have 3 or 4 in the space of a few hours mid-late afternoon. It's not ideal as it would be nice in every respect to have them spaced out but it rarely works like that! Today was good and I had seen 3 by 2pm and then I was finished but I've learned not to write off the day too early even though you can easily lose the will to live when it's deathly quiet!

Funny isn't it I think its because most of mine tend to be morning/early afternoon bookings I often be finish by 12pm on a good day so if it its quiet up till 1pm I go off the boil to escort.

I have made my "keep the family running" target and now I'm only going for spending money... I'm taking one of my daughters to Venice next week and we need some play money.

I was pretty brutal today. I had two no shows but I managed to carry on by double booking and I managed to get a guy to wait by offering a discount and promising the world. He waited thirty minutes and left the booking happy.

Nobody got left out in the cold and I made as more than I would have if I'd been all "no, sorry I can't do 3 because I have a booking at 3:30.?

I think if you want to be busy for a long time, you'll need to change things up or else your business will eventually dwindle.

What kind of things exactly? I stopped touring for example because of high costs and low returns, but manage reasonable well. At the moment I only do incalls in one area. But business is not so great as the beginning of the year and I'm looking for ways to improve. Already have a website, Twitter and blog.

I guess it's different for everyone. For me, it's touring. I've changed my appearance. Always updating my photos. I also try out different services and ways of describing them.

Monday, Tuesday - dead. Got 2 calls only from weirdos. Wednesday saw 1 regular. Today saw another regular. And many missed calls today, but only when I was sleeping, or getting ready and actually working  :FF Tomorrow seeing another regular. If I'd have every week like this I'd be very happy. All 3 are outcalls and more than an hour each.

It's been a dud week for me. Perhaps because it's approaching the end of the month.
