Advertising /photos

So true.

Mostly had regulars this week but that's not surprising considering that I'm now down to 2 days a week. Suits me really well, I feel more safe and under less pressure with my regs. Also just met an awesome client who only books me 5 hours plus every 3 weeks so that takes a lot of pressure off cos it's one weeks earnings in 5 hours. Yay for lovely regs!

My friend was working  last week
She charges 120. But she was offering ?100 through Aw if booked through Aw & had feedback
There was another girl right next door my friend worked out that she had done between 12-15 clients each day.
 My  friend could here the door opening / closing and could see punters calling from outside
My friend did 1 half an hour that day  and had two blank days previously


I told her  she was making booking her  difficult by demanding that they booked through Aw / feedback
So she dropped it and charged 100
She did 9 1 hr bookings that day she said that none of them stayed the hour and none of them wanted to come twice most were done & gone by 40 mins ( their choice )

I guess my point is that there is work out there but you have to get your advertising right / prices right
If an advert has certain restrictions like my friend then it reduces the client base drastically
Not saying that everyone is like my friend  but I have seen some profiles that have never ever changed anything in the slightest in 18 months  or have lots of restrictions like no one under 25 /30 or over 50
Which is fine if that's what you are comfortable with 

That might mean they are busy and that they are ticking along nicely and not need to update but it might be someone who is dead and wondering why it's so quiet

Ive only just last month updated my photos since the sept  last year but I haven't worked loads  this year due to my back / leg and was ticking along nicely so didn't feel the need to get new photos
But I got new photos done in Sept and have another 2 photo shoots lined up in oct / & Dec as im back to working / touring more and have lost just over 2.5 stone and want to have new pictures to reflect this

Can I ask what general area your friend was working in? ?100/hour seems really low, but I'm in the South East.

Nah I'd say that's Midlands, it's near Leicester/Nottingham right? Yeah cost of living up there a lot lower. I might have to try that area, could do with a cash injection, only if I can nurse my car that far up the motorway haha

?100 does seem cheap to me that close to London, but sometimes you just have to check the competition and adjust, I guess.

I'm new so I understand that it is going to take me a while to build up a reputation, plus I'm mostly outcalls :-( x
