I sympathise, and I know I have had the odd quiet week where I've been petrified by the Thursday thinking I would starve if it kept up, but fortunately it's always just a blip. The punters who are going to see these other two are surely not your customers - trade like this you can do without, and I don't class ladies like this as my competition; what they offer and what I offer are categorically not the same thing and don't appeal to the same people.

It might sound a bit trite and obvious but have you given your ads a good going over recently? Where does most of your traffic come from? Could you use some new pictures or maybe a bit of a website rehash? I regularly go over my advertising and try to refresh it - just setting up a profile and then sitting back to watch the cash rolling in doesn't work - my website traffic always flies up if I have new pictures or a new review. It is no different to any other business - the more effort you put in, the more rewards you will get out of it.

Working away helps too - I try to get a few days in another town/city each month just because it keeps me refreshed and interested, and means I can keep things lower key when I'm at home. There is an article on touring on the main site - it's harder work but even three days a month can make up for a couple of quiet weeks.

Well, it's only my opinion, but if you don't have a website and are relying on AW and the free classifieds (which IME attract nothing but hagglers and timewasters - I pulled my Vivastreet ad after a month as the bloody idiots were driving me mad), you're really missing out on a hell of a lot of potential custom. I get very little from AW myself unless I'm working away and have my phone number up, and even then the number of twatcalls goes through the roof.

Have you thought of getting your own site? It could get you on Punterlink, Puntingzone, UK Belles, Select an Escort (all free) and a fair few others. You can also advertise on Punternet for ?15 a month using just your phone number (AW links are not allowed) - some ladies find this a good site (like me), others don't, but you only pay a month at a time so it could be worth a try. Unfortunately with Adultwork you are always going to be battling with the Bareback Barbies - I've found there are actually lots of nice clients on there, but they can't always be bothered to dredge through the dross. Websites don't have to cost a lot and make a lot of difference - if clients Google '(your area) independent escorts', what do they find?

adult work is one of those sites that initially you are very busy from then it dies off

   tell me it isn't true. Thats how many of the sites I advertise on are over here. Starts off All busy and making lots of cash and then couple months later the cash stops flowing and you're wondering what you did, or didnt do to make it stop

Did you have an increase in interest when you were a featured escort on that site? I know it only really matters when a client actually makes a booking and visit but just wondering if it's worth doing it myself.

You know what it might be? People are probably out sick from the seasonal changes! I had an overnight postponed due to it, and this guy had never cancelled an appointment.

Blame it on the weather 

Joey, I've heard some shite excuses in my time, but that has to be one of the worst ever. The weather over here changes every ten minutes, ffs. I almost wish I still had a civvy job just because I would have loved to have heard a bosses reaction to me calling in sick because the 'season was changing', although I suspect it would have included (in no particular order) the words: cards, your, get, taking, piss, the  .

I don't know Amy - the way this country is softening up - you could possibly get a sick note for seasonal changes   

If they can cancel trains in the Autumn for it raining 'the wrong kind of rain' then I believe anything is possible!
