I do operate in a affluent area,  but they do say the weathly are more cautious with their money.

Maybe it's the thought of losing on their financial investments makes them lose their mojo!

Im finding business slow at the moment. Ive gone from seeing 1 to 3 clients a day to about 2 a week during the last month. I live in a small town in sleepy Somerset,and thought ladies in big towns and cities must be doing alot better but reading this, Im not so sure. I get very angry at myself for constantly checking other service providers in my area ,seeing whos on tour and wishing they would return home really soon lol. I just do more webcam and phone chat work during the quieter times.

Wed and Thursday were absolutely dead for me but I had 5 yesterday and 2 this morning (Had to finish at lunch today) all just half hours but still not been a terrible end to what started as a fairly slow week.

It has been pretty dead for me this weekend. I don't know what I'm doing wrong really. I do have two half hour bookings in for Monday, but that's it so far. I do mostly only offer outcalls though and it seems that there isn't the demand this week. I don't need many bookings - 2/3 a week pays the bills if they are outcalls.

I have put myself 'available today' for the first time in probably over a year yesterda... The amount of timewasters, idiots, wankers, creeps...Unbelievable! It all only materialised in 2 actual bookings. I get more not being 'available today', with so much less headache. God, had already forgotten that such weirdos existed.

October is ticking along nicely so with any luck the cold winter months will continue to bring the work as they do every year in the south east, about time after the past six months.

What is it about the end of the year? Bright sunshine and warm nights and no one wants to book but the icy winds come and there is a foot of snow on the ground and suddenly everyone wants to spend spend spend. So annoying.

Hi ladies,

I've seen a lot of posts here regarding quiet times due to money, austerity etc but I'm afraid we have a bigger issue that is killing our industry and that is the Internet.
Hardcore porn is free, fetish sites are in abundance now, plenty of women meeting guys for free plus these new 'dolls', very much like the real thing.
I know that some guys will still want the personal experience itself but only occasionally.
The Internet is killing this business. I believe however (I study cyber psychology), that it will peak for a while and over next few years we'll see a return to actually visiting real women!
It's bugged me for a long time now why it's gotten more quiet but since studying, it all makes sense now.
For me right now it's dead, and I had a walker today.
What makes me laugh about walkers is that they seem to think they're doing you a favour. They're generally ugly yet you're not enough for them lol.

Anyways, here's hoping things pick up xx

I'm not sure I agree. Online porn has been available for 20+ years, certainly very easily - and free - for the last 10. Some men will stick to porn, some will use escorts, some will do both.

Also, the good sex dolls are very expensive, and again will only appeal to a certain niche of men.

I do think the '50 Shades' effect may have got a few more women into swinging and BDSM, but again it's probably a fairly stable community, and one that doesn't particularly influence escorting.

In terms of business I'd say organised/trafficked groups of EE and Asian women and the poor economy/financial outlook at the moment have much more of a direct impact.

plus this an over saturated market, I must complete with close to a thousand women in West Yorkshire if I factor in agencies,parlours,outdoor workers and those who don't use adultwork. There's also dating apps/social media that make it easy for hook ups/nsa meets. I'd think things like cam girls would be much more of a threat to us than porn.

A few years go we had somebody ranting that casual sex and people 'giving it away for free' was going to put us all out of business, obviously because that's a new thing ;D.

I suspect the above is a modern version of that. Personally I wouldn't have anything like the lifestyle and earnings I do if I was still working off line ads in my local rag that nobody bar a few thousand people in my home town would see.
