I have picked up today as well. My current civvy job pays on the last working day of the month (so Friday or this week) but the one previous to that paid on the 26th.

I tend to think September isn't great due to everyone being skint following the summer holidays. But it depends on your client group really. For me, August, September and January are shit!

It's being an unusual slow and "spotty" September for me in London. Some days are very busy and some days dead. I'm noticing this week is the slowest (end of the month I guess).

Having been busy yesterday (without using available today or local search) I've been actually dead today, gutted. Had one guy who booked, turned up 25 mins late and I told him to do one. Maybe cut my nose off to spite my face but why should I bend over for someone who hasn't even got the courtesy to drop me a text saying "running late"?  >:(

Its been slow in Birmingham, even the time wasters havent rung, I think it could be a combination of skint from their hols, waiting to be paid and a sudden change in the weather

After a really busy month this week has been dead. Did two hour booking on Monday and there has been no one I have wanted to see since. Maybe it's a blessing as I'm nursing a broken heart.  :'(

Good start to the week here in Brum but yesterday and today are dead, as its the end of the month today or tomorrow has the possibility of being many punters pay day. I'm sitting relaxing now as its gone half way through my working day and I'm not going to book anyone now. Tomorrows another day but if that's also quiet I don't mind.
When its like this I say sod it and look forward to Monday when I know I have a standing weekly booking and the week starts again. This work ebbs and flows so I don't worry anymore when its quiet for a few days.

I was sort of in a self-imposed quiet period for most of September: I was so busy in my other job I just didn't have the time to risk fannying about with timewasters, so I only saw a few regulars I could trust not to let me down. Have had a great weekend so far though, and almost matched in three days what I made in the past three weeks!
