Ditto Victoria. People visiting at short notice were generally walking from less than 15 minutes away, along with a few who'd come off a regular train or the Gatwick Express.

If it's central London, you're never going to be far from punters (and vice versa) :).

Kay:
It's just from experience (17 years commuting into Zone 1), whenever there's a tube strike the vast majority of people try to avoid coming into the office, unless they can walk or bike it. It can have a knock-on effect on overground train services if there are shared lines, the buses are heaving, etc. so most seasoned commuters just don't even try.

But on the other hand, ladies in commuter belt towns might benefit with those who are 'working from home'.  :D

I agree, hence

I've been in London before when there's been a Tube strike and whilst it meant a few cancellations from people who couldn't make it, all of them were eventually replaced by people who could :). I realise I should know better than to try and bring optimism and pragmatism to our main whinge thread :D but I suspect there's no shortage of people here who wouldn't complain too much about only having a potential hundred thousand punters in their locale rather than half a million, or whatever.

Hey guys. I have been escorting on and off now for nearly four years. In the last few months I have found it EXTREMELY hard to make any decent money  :FF. I hardly get any bookings where I live (I work from home) cuz, understandably, I've been here a while and guys are probably bored of me!

However, even when I've been on tour very recently (in the last two months or so) I have hardly been making enough to cover my costs. So I guess the question is...IS IT ME OR IS THE ESCORT INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE IN DECLINE??

Any feedback and suggestions gratefully received! I don't expect loads of replies as to where is the best location for work and I know how to advertise on AW to get the most traffic possible. Just wondering really if anyone is experiencing a real decrease in bookings or is it just me?

Thanks :)

Serena
