My phone has been ringing with calls and pinging with texts all morning, but they're pretty much all numpties. I've managed to get two good bookings out of it but dear Lord!

Same! But no one has committed to a time yet  :FF

One booking and I knew he wasn't my type of client.
But I was passing my working flat so popped in.
For some reason I took a photo of his face on the intercom.
Just for future reference.

He came in, made an excuse and left.

Tube Strike starting Wednesday night.

Waiting for the London ladies to blow up this thread.

I've already lost a few bookings. Damn TFL.

I had a client last week who works for the Underground. He was in favour of the strike, although also in favour of the added night services. I guess they just don't like the way management is going about it.

This is probably a good day to take off work if you're in central London.

Haha, that came off harsh. I have nothing against the strike, but it's awful timing with my schedule.

On the other hand, it may be a great time to advertise locally and suggest a pre-booking walk!

It's also worth remembering that a lot of people don't use the Underground, especially in summer - I don't unless I've got no choice. The buses and cabs will all still be there, and people who work nearby and can't travel far will want somebody they can walk to :).

A lot of people will work from home though, if at all possible.

Most definitely. As buses will be absolutely packed  and near impossible to get on, during the rush hour especially.
Most people would try to cycle/walk to work, or just work from home.

Then the ladies who live/work further out might benefit instead.

I was in Victoria last week when it was hot, and I don't think a single punter got to me on the underground. It did mean cancelling one who hadn't bothering thinking where to park and was half an hour late (at last check) because he then couldn't find anywhere, but such is life.

It might well put off the any-holes-a-goal opportunists, but in my experience if punters really want to see you they're perfectly capable of organising themselves :).

I was there the same week and I don't think there were too many Tube riders for me, either. But, then, I was in the City where most clients will walk from their office.
