Slow at the minute or just me?

I was dead yesterday, and I thought I'd have myself a snow day and go do a little retail therapy. You all know what's coming next... YES they all started calling the minute I get down the road. Really fooks me off!
I've only done a few half hours this week, had phonecalls but from people I didn't want to see. I'm hoping it'll pick up by the end of the week. Bet they all come on Friday!

I've not been busy either...usually before I start work I have minimum one client lined up... here I am waiting and not even a call. I though last week was dead because it was the week before payday but they have now been payed and nothing is happening!
??? where did they go!
I guess Jan/ Feb would be dry months....

I've just done a half now I have a an hour and maybe another hour later but I don't see any of the money due to rent being due soon :(

I thought I had jinxed myself last week when I said things were ticking along because the day after I came down with this horrendous flu everyone has got at the moment. I go back to work yesterday despite not being at my best and an old (big spender) reg cancels on me I was soooo pissed, wrote the day off as phone went dead for HOURS. Then right at the end of my shift... boom 9 hour job extended from 3 hours with a brand new customer! Hallelujah the big whales still exist out there it's just a case of wading through the cheapass' and timewasters to get to them :D

I've had two clients and my booking this evening has confirmed so it should be a good day. The phone has rung with a few viable-sounding inquiries but I have turned them away because I was stupid and drank too much last night so I'm not at my best today. I would have liked to have been in the frame of mind where I just take every booking I can and make all the money I can but I'm not able to do that today. Since Monday and yesterday were a bit quiet I am annoyed that I'm not able to make hay whilst the sun is shining.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better!
