Sorry if I am off thread with talk of 'flu!

I ordinarily don't get nearly so ill as I take spirulina in light almond milk daily which takes yucky but usually really helps.  I have just been unlucky this time.  Having said that I have skipped quite a few days of taking the spirulina Dec/Jan so maybe that will teach

I really do hope I am up to working next Tues to Thurs or I will scream lol.

The odd thing is despite not being available for work there have been a few enquiries.  Typical eh!

I'm another who gets the flu jag but I think it only covers one kind of flu and it's got a bit of swine flu protection in it too.

I think if you fall under certain criteria of illnesses you get it for free but if you don't you have to pay.

It has no defence against any colds though which I am more prone to. I don't actually remember ever having the flu in my life.

Even if I wanted to work just now I couldn't and because i take meds for high blood pressure I can't take cold relief meds. :FF

Ive heard some people get nasty reactions from the flu jab which has put me off. Do you think the risk is worth it and does anyone feel it does protect them from getting really nasty things during the winter?

My arm kills for the first 2 days after the flu jab but I've spoken to others who don't get nearly that much pain (to the point when I wake up if I turn over on to it during the night).

Other than that you shouldn't see any reactions unless you are allergic to any of the ingredients. It never hurts to have it, you'll still get colds but you won't get the flu's that the government decide are most prevalent that season. I wouldn't bother now though as flu season is as good as over.

Personally I don't think its worth the bother sometimes but get it just in case.  Would just be like it if I didn't get it to take the flu.

My main phone (linked to AW) is very quiet today - luckily I had two bookings lined up in advance. My secondary phone (Vivastreet PTMU, etc) has been ringing steadily but primarily with weirdos.

I've been doing ok the last few days, not too dead, and not too busy, coz I'm not in the mood for too busy lol.
Quite happy, got a few bookings or the next few days, but I'm not counting my chickens, coz as soon as I say things
like this it all goes downhill and everybody cancels, things descend into chaos with people not knowing when to book
or changing their mind at the last minute etc..  ::)
So fingers crossed it just stays steady...

Still completely dead here, my last job was on 21st of January (I normally do 3-4 outcalls a week, for comparison). Even my regulars are nowhere to be seen. Think I need a hug. o_O
