Anyone seen their daily bookings dropped in half over August?  I aim for 3-4 a day normally. But I a getting only 2 a day at the moment. It’s still ok because it’s consistent but I am very much looking forward to September and October being busier.

This August has been the worst on record for me, so much so, that I’m working from home for the next two weeks.

I’ve also noticed that the traffic on the road has been much busier than I’ve ever seen, so for some reason, more people are staying at home.

Touring is just okay but not worth it overall. I did have a great tour a couple of weeks ago, but last week was just a break even.

I’m not prepared to speculate money on the rest of this month when I can work from home with no expenses (albeit with limited hours).

Summer was ALWAYS my busiest time but not now.

Im getting quite a few asking for price reductions saying the parlour girls will do the same for less

The train strikes are over if that helps.

I don’t know what I’m going to do re touring when they announce pay per mile in the autumn budget. It will add about £800 a year on to my costs. I will have to move to touring on the train but how reliable will those be. 

We got to get through to September now ladies where hopefully it will pick up. I’m touring Glasgow the last two days and it’s very quiet.

I only travel by train and when they have not been cancelled, if there are no strikes and if they are not delayed, then it is great because I don’t have to worry about parking. I only stay in apartments and many do not offer parking. If they do, I need the space for my visitors.

Peterborough was busy ladies I’ve just finished there managed 4 in a day which has topped my personal best this august.

I’m going home for a long rest now as I’ve been away for a month on tour and it’s been very quiet. Looking forward to my own bed and lots of home cooking.

Chester was nice and busy, just did a quick 2 day Friday and Saturday and although not manic like it used to be it was a steady flow and I made more than target, could easily have done 6+ bookings a day

A hell of a lot slower than usual today for me in the west midlands, im quite surprised as the past 2 days have been great especially yesterday and Fridays are usually busy. Its seeming like its definitely going to be a pack up early and go home day. I hope everyone else is doing well xx
