Wish I had followed suit lol. I had a regular book my first slot at 11am and had 3 pre bookings for after 5pm. Took the regulars booking as thought surely people will book at some point between 12-5 but nothing  :(. And one pre booking no showed. Waste of a sunny day X
Yep I spent all afternoon in the garden getting hot and dirty but not in the usual sense  ;D
Have to say it was way more satisfying  ;)

Well the sun is shining, they've had pay day and still they don't come so can no longer blame the miserable weather and being spent up, really don't know what to attribute it to.
Just 1x 30 min booking a day so far this week, not worth disrupting my day or hanging around for so until things pick up I wont be doing either of those things.
I think the same way right now ,what do they want ? Blood !
How dare they not spend on the necessary luxury !  ;)

For me it's the quietist I've ever known it to be. Same as two of my friends. Monday was a good day but rest of this week is just one or two a day. I've actually come home as I'm not waiting around all day like I did yesterday. I wonder if we should start a thread titled: Busy at the minute, or just me? because I'm intrigued as to whether this is a wide ranging thing or just the few of us on here who are quiet.

Sheffield is just rubbish for me. Everyone’s been paid?! Cam is very quiet too. I’m trying to crack on with other things. If I sit around and ruminate, the phone no doubt, starts going off at 5pm and by that time I’m miserable and can’t be arsed! I found really do with a couple of busy mornings and afternoons!

Yes super quiet week for me although I haven’t had the motivation to push myself to work.

If the fine weather persists I think men will start booking again. It is a novelty right now plus more solvent ones may be going away over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Since this thread has been so popular over the last year or so, it could be a clear sign the economy is doing worse than they are saying it is. We already know that we are in a ‘technical recession’ but there is also an economic measurement called the ‘stripper index’ which I have read about and it is how those of us in the sex work industry are really good at predicting how the economy is doing. As with the kind of services we offer, men are most likely to cut it out of their discretionary spending if they just no longer have as much money available. I know this does not apply to all clients but it is a good theory since the main aspect of this theory is that unfortunately we are usually one of the first industries to be hit when things are not going well in the economy. Therefore, can act as a good predictor for how the wider economy is currently performing or can perform in the near future.

Gross Domestic Product or GDP has consistently grew at insignificant levels over the past few years (usually around 0.1%). This actually means that GDP Per Capita or GDP per person has fallen in recent years in the UK as our population has grew but there is less money to go around per person. Without wanting to sound too political, I believe Brexit is a big factor behind our rather slow economy.

I believe things could improve though when we do have a change of government who manage the economy better and put more investment into the country. The government at the moment have put a lot of work into slowing inflation which is a good thing as it means our money goes further, but then that can negatively impact us in our profession as it means people have less money to go around and what they do have just doesn’t go as far as it did in the past. A cut in interest rates would really benefit us as it would increase monetary supply within the economy and act as a domino effect for economic growth (the client spends money on our services, we spend money on products / services that we want and need, businesses grow and expand and the county grows richer.)

Hang in there everyone we can get through this tough patch and I’m sure things will start to be on the up for us again as an industry soon. We are living through extraordinary times.

I also think it's because there are so many more women in the business now and I don't think it will go back to how it was several years ago because punters are spread too thin. I'm just glad I have another job.

There are also a lot more punters; punting is easier and more accessible than it has ever been thanks largely to the internet and mobile phones. Gone are the days of contact mags and having to find a phone box to call from if you didn't want to ring from home, plus they can look at photos, check prices and services and all sorts of things that weren't possible with newspaper ads.

This thread has been going for sixteen years, and you can pick out a page from any part of it and the posts will be virtually the same. The whole purpose of the thread is for people who had a quiet day/week to post about it, so obviously there aren't going to be pages of posts about how somebody made a fortune and has been mad busy, despite the best efforts of some :)

Back on topic, it's steady away here as usual. I suppose the polling stations have given them another convenient excuse to bog off for the odd half hour ;D

Well if your clientele are central London businessmen thats very nice but for many of us posting unfortunately that's not the case and we are finding it a bit harder.
Unfortunately the polling stations haven't made a blind bit of difference for many today.
Everyone is navigating their way through these difficult times differently and with a different experience.

Well no, my clientele are a combination of typical office based wage slaves plus the usual public sector workers - not a businessman in sight! A lot of youngsters at the moment too, which always surprises me given the central London rents that everybody outwith it conveniently forgets about.

What I do find is that there'll be one really mad busy week, a couple of steady/unremarkable weeks and one absolutely shite texting-yourself-in-case-the-phone-is-broken week where I barely scrape the rent and bill money. I'd rather have four steady weeks, but then I suppose if I wanted a regular income I'd have got a job :D

Wow I hit Solihull for a day and I have never had so many time wasters… literally looking at my phone in disbelief at the reports. I used to do really well here.  :FF

Off up north today need some pastures new. Wish me luck ladies. Holding onto my sanity by a thread.
