In Heathrow 4 days and only done two jobs. I’m normally very busy here won’t be coming back now for a while. It’s rapidly gone down hill.

I work in Heathrow area is not busy since the inflation started, last year was much better and I can see is less calls and massages unfortunately

Absolutely dead in London, had nothing yesterday (not even the usual timewaster enquiry), I barely get any AW clients anymore to be honest. It's so disappointing because last year at the same time was fairly busy  :(

I know it's not ideal and just means paying more money out on hotels Ana, but have you tried going to a few different parts of town? I was always busy in Angel, Waterloo, Victoria/Pimlico and there used to be quite a few of the OK hotels on the day rooms sites. It's fine over here in the City too, but again I know the hotel costs are horrific.

A bit off topic but I checked one of the nice hotels I used to work from and usually paid between £130 and £180-£200 for the night before the Queen's funeral, and the cheapest rooms (which weren't great and I didn't book them) were £999  :o

Amy, I thought you made a typing mistake when you said that the cheapest room before the Queen's funeral were £999 (£99 instead of £999)  ;D ;D Hope they put it back to a more normal price now  :o hotel prices are absolutely insane especially compared to last year at the same time.

And yes I've tried different part of town with dayuse rooms (City a few time, Tower Hill, Euston) and it hasn't been successful at all so far (one or two 30mins booking at most), I mean really not worth the hotel price + travel time. I will keep trying though and let's see what will happen

I found when the pandemic hit everything crashed and has never recovered. The kinds of clients, usually older men some of whom were traveling on business, evaporated. Add in the cost of living crisis and other negativity and it's no surprise!

Made my target OK, but God they've been hard work this week (including one latecomer who actually screamed abuse at me down the phone for telling him I couldn't hear him very well because of the bad signal and asking him how long he was going to be). I'm sure there is no link at all between that and my deciding to put the green AT Adultwork thing on for a couple of days just to get ahead on the end of month bill money ::)

Every time I do it I reason with myself that I must have blocked all the real thundercunts by now. I will never learn  :( ;D

Haha I know that feeling Amy, I succumbed to it too a cple of days this week and got the same result as you.
Had to remind myself of the definition of madness.. to repeat the same actions whilst expecting a different outcome.

Yes I hardly ever use it used it the other day and got 25 TWs and no bookings! I remember back in the day -say 8/10 years ago I would get bookings as well, not so much now.

Slow slow slow on my little tour, just overrun with TWs and cancellations no clients, and I used to live in the area and do ok. Don’t think I will be going back.

Two hour booking tomorrow with a reg, fingers crossed.

This week I've had my regular amount of bookings but all been shorter than they usually are, so less money.

However, the week before was insanely busy for me, so I don't mind  :)

I’ve never known it so quiet, it’s worse than a February after a busy Christmas and new year when people have blown their money in December and January. I can’t see this situation improving. Inflation as well as other factors are only making the situation worse and worse all the time..

Is anyone busy? I wonder if this is temporary or the way that things will be from now on due to the current economic situation ?  :FF
