What an awful day. I did have 1 booking but he was a bit of a weird one and just gave HR.

So I had 8 phone wankers calling or trying to call yesterday, 5 already blocked numbers calling me, 5 guys texting instead of calling, 1 guy demanding a face pic and my postcode be sent asap to his what app (off you fuck wanker), 1 guy asking for video call ( I don't do them), then had a confirmed booking for 6pm. Ask him not to be late as I needed to go out. At 6.10 he's not let me know he'll be late so I just shrug it off as a no show and get in the car. At 6.20 he's calling me to say he's arrived, with no apology for being late, so I refuse to see him, and now he's swearing, shouting because 'it's not his fucking fault it took him so long to get to me'... he had 45 mins notice, he suggested 6pm and I do have a nearby postcode on my profile. No way I was seeing someone so screamy after I asked him not to be late. That was the icing on the cake and I called it a day.

Sounds like a nightmare!
Mine was crap too, nothing but 1 like yours, texts instead of calls and total silence when asked to call.
I figured as others said, with all the sport on tv was a washout so come 6pm I gave it up as a bad job, put my feet up with a glass of wine and then ... the phone finally starts to ring  aaarrrggggghhhhh!!!
The buggers were only bothered when the sport was finished... well sod em!
Maybe the reason your guy was late too, hanging on to see the end of what ever he was watching.
This past week has been crap, started off ok but I've not seen a soul since Weds.

Milf G, the guy 20 mins late without telling you then screaming and shouting when you cancelled him, 50 50 chance he might have not even been there or might have come in just to then walk out some of these rude ones are not even genuine paying staying clients. End of the day ig he got abusive for something that was his fault and not telling you he could have turned in the booking.

It’s really strange at the moment. It’s either an insanely busy day where there’s more clients wanting to book than I have time for and they can only do that day or it’s completely dead. There’s no in between

Exactly. Funny thing was he called a few months back suggesting s booking with only 15 minutes notice,  I said I wasn't going to be ready for xx amount of time (I'd only just got out of the shower) and he said he wasn't going to hang around. Yet he thinks it's acceptable to keep me hanging around. Sometimes I'll see them late if they inform me and I'm not busy but otherwise nope. Just plain rude.

Me too. If I've had nothing but timewasters by 6pm I'm in too much of a bad mood to carry on and pour myself a glass.

April and May are always full of bank holidays but it is the double bank holidays this year that are exacerbating things. Fine for employees maybe but grim for us self employed folk.
