Diwali today and considering most of my clients are Indian I’m not sure how this will play out today.

Also just had an enquiry about cash point meets.
Basically the guy giving me his card and me taking his money. Sounds too good to be true lol

Oh and now another one asking for nuru massage when I don’t specialise in massage! Told him that and now he has replied asking what I specialise in

Yeah it’s diwali yesterday and today as well in my area of North West London-
I and my colleague are having a quiet one in our hotel. One only client each so far

What's Diwali? Can they not leave the house? Was wondering why I was so quiet, usually I'm Indian central lol x

It is a strange time of year and people are being really cautious about money - even the wealthy ones!

Yup - so New Moon today.

It’s similar to Christmas I believe in the Hindu world. I think a lot of people spend time with their families over the next couple of days.

Yea a large % of my vanilla/GFE clients are Hindu because I live in an area that has  a large S.Asian population and Diwali is their big festival and I've not had any Hindu clients this week, which is what I expected in the same way as I'd suspect the main days of christmas to be very touch and go...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but have a lot of friends who own their own businesses and are all really suffering. (more so than 10 years ago)
Think a combination of people spending too much in the summer; cautious about spending over Christmas; tax returns due in January and uncertainty over Brexit and the future economy; and the time of year. Also colds and flu are rife. Men suffer more, due to "man flu".
People are more likely to spend more money in the summer months when they are happier and the opposite effect in the winter months.

If we reduce our prices, we appear desperate,  and increase prices, no one will pay over the top.

I really think it's a lot to do with location. Ok, some days it's dead, but my "dead" would be only 2 or 3 bookings an hour or less each day. This would be considered busy for some.

Horses for courses and all that but loads of people were complaining about October, but my October was fine. No worse than usual in terms of amount of bookings but potentially less people arranging in advance with more being booked on the day. Normally I am booked up in advance so don't have to put my green light on, if I have to put that light on for a day I have advertised in advance, that's what I would consider as dead.

Really hope it picks up for you ladies who are finding it quiet

Good last week for me *very* quiet this week, but then my website numbers are up and had a bit of an unusual influx of people adding me to their hotlist on AW so hopefully things will pick up for me before I go on tour.
