After taking a couple of days off due to a few days of what can only be described as break down inducing levels of timewasters it's still dead for me. It's been 2 weeks now and I'm concerned but its most likely just super bad luck for alot of us, it should pick up, it always does! Ups and downs in the job can be awful I must say!
Off on holiday for a 12 days in a few days no doubt I shall be extremely in demand while I have no electricity or internet. Lol.

I can only advise not to use the internet while on holiday even if it is available!  I never check my sex work pages if out of the country and taking time off. An impossibility for some I guess but a holiday should be just that and not spent fretting over missed money/bookings.  This work can take over our lives and impinge on what should be relaxing and enjoyable pursuits.

This is why saving and more saving (if possible) is very important. Having a rainy day fund or ironically a dry spell fund is the best way to go.

Not long ago I lamented on this thread about being underpaid £40 by a client (because I didn't count the money upfront).
This client, let's call him 'Helpful Dave', gave me advice about my business, i.e. to set up regular working days.
Not a bad idea, when I thought about it, with two powerful factors - scarcity and predictability. How will it work with general unpredictability of the market, we'll see. But as you, Ladies say, it can work.

This is true. I work the same 3 days every week with the occasional extra weekend day if I've had a particular amount of booking enquiries for this day. I am normally fairly steady in my income, although last week was the worst week ever for me. This week, however, was one of the best weeks I have had. I could have done more if my mind and body was able to keep going but I did finish earlier than planned on Fri and didn't do Saturday at all because I had made so much and was knackered. My phone was going absolutely crazy all week. AND I got £100 in tips when I rarely get tips. Can't explain it!

Here's hoping next week isn't stupid quiet to counteract my lovely busy week.

I tried this. albeit for only a few weeks but it didn't work for me. I believe that the scarcity factor definitely helps but doing the regular days made no difference to me. A guy is either horny or he isn't and if he sees you on a Friday one time it doesn't automatically follow that he will next be horny, have the funds and be available to see you on another Friday. Then again that could be his exact schedule and it may work. There are definitely advantages and disadvantages to working regular hours / days and not. For me, as I only do incalls from hotels I found it impossible to offer regular days because prices fluctuate so much, I couldn't justify paying an extortionate rate just to keep regular days. I prefer to keep costs low and that keeps my stress lower as I have to earn less to cover my costs.

I think we overthink these things sometimes!

I wonder how ladies that work in the same town say 5 days a week do? The business must be there. But then so many ladies tour and I'm sure a big reason is to be 'new' and therefore scarce in an area for a short time. So again, advantages & disadvantages to both.

I work from home in the same place all the time. Usually I work Monday - Friday, but if I'm not doing anything at the weekend which is rare I will work them as well.

I am very low volume and some weeks I can have 6 bookings. Others I have just one but because I live where I work it's fine. I couldn't cope with having 5 or more bookings in one day. I just couldn't!

Starting the day with a no show and an email from AW saying that they removed the link to my website, again.

Never a dull moment, is it?  ;D

Are there any rules behind this unpredictable cosmic madness?... I won't speculate  :D

I have noticed a slowing down process the last 10 days or so and now we into the summer holidays so expected very slow days so probably will reduce days down as it is too time consuming to be available 5 days. If it is between zero customers to 1 or 2 a day.

I am finding most days the calls are under 10 per day but that is not so bad if 2 or 3 convert to bookings.

Dead today.
Have had a few looking for one hour bookings but I find one hour bookings too hard going in the heat.

Did have a previous client contact me yesterday for a booking but I don’t carry my work phone with me usually if I’m off so I told him to confirm today at 10am as I would be at my incall location then.

He decided to confirm at 9 am and then tried to change the time of the booking to half an hour before the original time.
I arrived slightly after 10am and saw the text. Responded they I could do the time he wanted but I had seen the text late so probably better to stick to the original time.
He cancels.
I couldn’t be arsed after that

Oh I don't know but I definitely welcomed and needed that wee boost! The universe is looking after me.

Started the day with literally nothing no calls/emails/texts by midday I was starting to think I should go and eat chocolate then all of a sudden the flood gates opened and I ended up turning guys away this evening as I do not work late.
I wish there was some way of predicting work in this job but I never can and when I try I always get it wrong

I've been turning them away all afternoon because it's been so muggy here today - I can cope when it's just warm but it's so bad it was hard to breathe earlier even in my flat. So I just did two and bogged off :D

I don't know what's going on on my end right now!

I was having such a bad time the past couple of weeks, bad clients, swarm of timewasters etc so I just gave up and took some time off.

Now I've come back and it's just the same. Only timewasters and people who have previously failed my screening. I've never been through a bad phase like this before! I have no idea what's going on or what to do?! ??? :(

Ride it out through the school holidays and if after you are still really struggling you should try touring new areas as you would be a fresh face.
