Sick of no shows Part 2
« on: 14 December 2008, 11:35:16 am »
Hi everybody

I seem to be having a higher than what I would call usual number of no-shows at the moment - I am currently sitting here in my hooker knickers waiting for the second in 24 hours! That's five in the last two weeks who have booked, one of whom even rang and confirmed shortly beforehand, and then not turned up - I was furious yesterday because I turned down a regular client to arrange this three hour incall who never arrived; I know that some things are unavoidable but it just seems ridiculous at the moment!

I am aware that school holidays etc make for potentially more unpredictable situations when it comes to work like ours but I'm getting really hacked off - some days I've run around like a lunatic to get ready in time, missed meals because I didn't think I'd have time to cook/eat them, not gone to the bank etc all because I'm sitting waiting for some thoughtless idiot. It's not even as if I take bookings from texts or withheld numbers! Anyone else noticing this and are there any tips to spot them before it's too late?

AMY xxx

I had to quote from Amy's post awhile ago. I feel stupid posting on a fucking forum about how an idiot asshole doesnt show up to the god damn booking tonight. Fucking pisses me off. It fucking sucks! Last night, I had a booking (sipoosedly) for a fucking 3 hour. Fuckng full of shit that I dont even get the fucking call. I hate the fucking bullshit. I know how this shit works and I know you get your ups and downs and turn arounds and all of that. But you know, I just want to let it out. Im so fucking piseed. I went out and had a good time tonight, but I cant tell people who dont know shit about my job about someone who didnt show for what was supposed to be a $250 booking. I mean fuck, it just pissees me off twice in a row this weekend. he even called to confirm today. What the fuck? I know nothings promised but shit, hello....I mean, what could it be? I mean, you want to start aski8ng questions and shit but its like fuck,,,,they scared or what?>

I don't know what to tell you. It's one of the worst things about this job. Maybe for long bookings you should ask for a deposit. If they're unwilling then don't waste your time on them and go on to the next booking.

Gee, what an episode last night! I know we 'arent supposed' to let it happen, but you can see how something like that (it was the 4th time this week) can throw your mood off!

Anyway, the good news is atleast now there's some insight into what might of went wrong. Today I had a booking with someone who, after we spoke earlier about meeting...2 hours later he said he was afraid that I might of been the police! I've been asked this before, but this person insisted that I was law enforcement about to run a sting. The guy was so nervous that he would not give me his phone number or room number! rather he wanted me to meet him in the lobby!  The conversation was via Instant Message. I told him I would not go to the Hilton without any way to verify he was even there. It just so happened another client of mine had Imed me in the middle of this. So, I tell my client what was going on and asked him if he could tell this person that we have met before. Well, he did and from there I was given the room number and phone number. Piece of cake, but what a hassle!

This made sense because the prospect from last night who confirmed, but didnt go through had asked me the day before if I was with the law. I told him "no way". And often times thats all it takes (and Im wearing nothing but a thong in my pic, HELLO!). My guess is maybe there was some un-asked questions and he got nervous. But I dont come off threatning. If they want to ask me something, I let them know.

So in a situation like this, what if someone thinks Im a cop?

That's the problem. Things are different out there, we don't have to deal with all that crap. Everybody's scared of each other because of the illegal nature of this business there. You've got to make sure that the person you're not making a booking with isn't law enforcement, and you have to reassure the customer making that booking with you that you're not law enforcement out on a sting. I'd find the whole thing stressful. I remember when I went on tour to NY last year, I only saw gentlemen that could provide references from well-established escorts. I was too terrified of being arrested and deported back home. I only saw four gents in the end 'cos I was so paranoid, but one of them was a 7hr booking, and another I ended up seeing twice (he saw escorts here in the UK), so I did okay.

It's a shame you haven't been in the business that long, you'd be more established, therefore deemed more trustworthy in the eyes of the clients. What might help is a few reviews under your belt from satisfied customers so they can see that you are indeed, who you say you are.

I don't know what else to tell you. I think you'll need to seek advice from one of your fellow escorts out there. It doesn't have to be another bloke, maybe a woman who's been in the business a while.

You're right. Its RIDICULOUS! Its illegal to have consensual, safe, paid sex but yet its all right for some cheapskate who shags the whole club to buy someone a couple of cheap drinks and give them STD's for free.
