i was shocked yesterday when a possible client wanted to add me to his msn contacts, of my private msn messenger,

i don't know how he got my msn address, i have not published it on AW and he said he had my details from there.

i asked someone (who is a computer expert) to check whether he could get any details of me anywhere based on my ads and he didn't and that possible client didn't seem to have spend much time or effort of getting it either

i am a bit scared, and worried, no idea how that could have happened,

any suggestions what to do and how to check whether it is possible to get from my ad details to my private details

Maybe it sounds really dumb to suggest but how about sending him a cheeky text or email from your work email address asking how he got your personal address? and point out its not appropriate to chat to clients on the personal one which is exactly why you have a work one.

I think sometimes guys think its a bit of a jokey thing to find out your personal details rather than sinister but they dont realise it can actually just freak us out.

I dont get it either, Ive actually been suprised at how much i get asked for my real name etc.  Its actually really annoying. 

Even if he had your full name though i dont see how he can find your email address from that.  Has he been to your house?  Might he have seen something with it on while he was there?

For sure- I think the biggest feeling must be that invasion of what you feel is private, I know I like having everything separate and I would not be at all comfortable with any invasion from anyone into my personal space and wouldn't be happy with anyone who attempted to do so.

 If you've never met this guy, are you sure it isn't someone you know who may have recognized or figured it out and has it that way? Or, are you definite it was to the personal account and not private? I had a coronary thinking something similar had happened and it was to my work email after all.

Is there any chance of the client having made the connection between your escort person and the dating site ad you had?

I know an old date has tracked me down from a picture on my site which I used on the adult dating site. Luckily he doesn't know my real name or where I live.

no i am not going to see him. and i doubt that he contact me again,
he wanted a booking that night, and i asked him where he got the details from and he said from AW, and it was on my personal msn account. and i have not met him before.
i would not have felt comfortable to arrange a booking on my private msn account, and besides that i am having a cold/flue at the moment and i think i wouldn't have got a security buddy for the short time either, and it was scary he contacting me on my private msn and clearly assuming that i do what i do.

i don't know how he got the info thats what i would like to figure out why, and prevent that to happen in future.


i think it would be helpful for the business to have messenger open for work; however i have my private one running on my computer and so far i know i can't have two running,
i have my private msn running and my work yahoo running, so i have them running; actually hadn't had much requests through yahoo. maybe it wouldn't be that much of a business boost. but would be curious whether and if how it would be possible to have two msn messenger with two different accounts running at the same time
