so wether you have a site built for you, do it yourself or whatever, always ask and get a copy of hosting details, then if the site gets hacked, or worse, at the very least you can limit damage.
even if you know nothing about websites, there are enough people around who do, that will no doubt be willing to help you, but only if those hosting details are available

so always make sure you have those details
