Sexting fools... any way to salvage?

You know those guys who want to come and see you - or say they do - in the afternoon but in the meantime want to text and text and text and before you know it they're asking what you're wearing, etc?

Do you play along with them in hopes of keeping them keen to see you? Or do you try and tell them that you're not a free sexting service? I've got one now who claims he's in court and will see me when the proceedings are over (he's apparently a lawyer sort). In the meantime he's asking me daft shit including "what's the horniest thing you've done lately?" I said "Well, it wasn't sexting, I can tell you that."

"Oh, come on... indulge me. I'm gagging here!"

"If you want to come and see me in person I will be happy to indulge you."

How much you wanna bet this fellow never actually comes to see me?

Do you think these guys never intended to spend money in the first place or do they get caught up in the banter and get carried away? If I thought they'd still show and i wasn't otherwise busy I wouldn't mind a bit of sexting. But it doesn't seem to work out that way?

Nope I don't indulge, often I'm just busy doing something else so it's not an option. If someone starts doing that and it is bothering me I'll just send one text saying something pleasant followed by "speak to you at confirmation time". Any other texts will be ignored until that time.

That's a good idea! It's hard to avoid getting sucked in.

Honestly, this guy is already a bit of a tool because he's sort of haggled over price a bit. Feh.

Yes! The ones who get carried away... I think they start genuine and then want to sext and if you don't play along that sours things... how do we deal with them?

OK I know I'm different but I just don't like text full stop, never have done.  On my profile I make it clear I don't indulge in sex chat and I think that helps set expectations.  Text is useful for confirming appts etc but I've never really had a problem with clients wanting to exchange endless texts.

Quite ... I never get involved with texting - its polite and to the point.  In fact if they text too much (with no replies from me) which happens very rarely it puts me right off and I text them saying I am cancelling the meeting. 

I rely on my gut judgement and these types are usually more trouble than they are worth.

I only take bookings via a phonecall.If they text I tell them to ring.If they book and then start with the text shite I just tell them i don't have any credit on my phone.

I don't do text and make it clear on my profile that I don't. So they just get ignored...

The real fools are the ones that text you saying they know you don't text????

I don't mind texts. I am happy to take bookings from them although I almost always want to chat - and will always require them to cal when they arrive for the precise address. And even if I book on the phone I will still text my address, or for advance bookings I will ask for a text by such-a-time saying they're still intending to see me.

I just need to keep the ones who I think may be genuine from getting carried away with the chit chat until it turns into sexting. I think the tactic of just not replying quickly is a good one. And I can get back later saying "Sorry I didn't reply... so, we're still on for 3?"

Just ignore them and chalk it up that they will never show up. If they do I would be amazed. No point in replying.
