I used to tour constantly. Since covid i not bothered touring and I work from home. When working from home I had to change my whole approach to client footfall, Advertising, noise arriving-during booking-leaving.
I basically did a risk assessment on my home and myself. What can my neighbours see and hear and how I attempt to prevent issues. I cannot work from home the same as I can on tour otherwise I will get caught out. And I own my home so there's no just moving out if it goes tits up. I actually make more profit working from home.
After 18 years in the biz on/off I started WFH for the first time last year. Yes I’d had an apartment once that was solely for my use but had my family home elsewhere but that is not exactly WFH. There are pros and cons and I would advise any fellow escort to think about it carefully before making the decision as once you’ve crossed that line there’s no going back should anything go wrong. The only results would be to either get the Police involved, something I unfortunately had to do at the last apartment that I used solely or move. If you own the property as Miss Betty has highlighted that is very difficult.
I’ll list the pros & cons for me:
Pros: Lower overheads as not paying for 2 places, more flexibility to accept bookings as not restricted to check in/ out times of hotels & serviced apartments, you can keep all your lingerie & kit there so no chance of not having something to hand for a last min request, you can be quite the hostess with your own champagne flutes, etc, you can take pride in keeping it spotlessly clean & finally, you can set the ambience with your own lighting & soft furnishings.
Cons: The worry of a client potentially becoming a stalker & arriving at your boudoir unannounced (this happened at one of my previous places, hence having to get the Police involved who were very understanding, on my side & absolutely amazing), the neighbours possibly finding out & if you rent reporting you to the management company, if you own the property for a small fee clients can search your address on the Land Registry to find out your real name & finally not feeling as though you have that ‘safe space’ to retire to after a hard days work. We all need that safe haven in our job & somewhere in which we can fully switch off. I have really struggled with the latter and it’s making me question whether WFH is the right choice for me.
Stay safe ladies
