Paris didn't mention the Minimum Wage, she said the average UK wage which isn't the same thing at all. Plus nobody was slagging anything or anybody off - saying you want to earn at least X amount to make doing the job worthwhile isn't insulting anybody, is it? I would think that most of us have a 'minimum' we'd want to work for, or else we'd all be charging a tenner a punt.

I do a bit of both really - when on tour I work as I described above, but that's because I don't want to work much when I'm at home (for all sorts of reasons, mainly involving other commitments but also because I don't want the traffic, as somebody posted above). I don't have a separate incall place and I own my flat, so my living costs aren't that high, but if I didn't go hell for leather when I was away, I wouldn't earn as much as I wanted without working more at home, so that's why I do it. The touring money pays the bills and keeps up the savings and then I decide what I want to do at home according to whether there's things I want to buy, or whatever.

I do agree that I would never have anybody else answer my phone. About 5 years ago I left it with another lady I know in good faith when I was on holiday, and when I got back she hadn't taken a single booking for me, but more than one of my regulars told me she'd done her damndest to try and get them for herself. How many new callers she actually succeeded with I'll never have any idea.

If you read my post and used your brain Before you decide to post you will see that I didn't mention the min wage but the national average wage which is considerably different to nmw I'm well aware what nmw is and that its roughly around ?6 an hour or so or ?220 a week for a 38 hour week give or take the odd ?10 ?20 ( I think)

And apologies for anyone who thinks that I'm bring rude or slagging off any low earning escorts I'm r not and never have done at all as we all work in different ways that suit us 2 A day or 10 a day each to there own

I've charged everything from ?30 when working at home in the UK ( and I have the field reports to prove it) to to the present ?150 ?200 for half an hour in Australia and ?100 to ?300 for an hour so the last thing I would do is say that charge xxx xxx are not charging enough ect

I've charged low and high depending on where I am

My Point was that if your paying for two places to work and live from as a fair few of us do or your touring 2 a day won't cut you can easily be paying out more than half of what you earn
Factor in the hours , the stress , the dangers ect ect and then it ay not be worth it

I think that Dani pointed this out as well that doing two a day for her wouldn't cover her bills ect ect
As she has two places to work from

Its also about what hours you work. I work between 10am and 8pm. So when luck is with me and its busy I can see around 5 a day no probs, some blokes might only be short bookings anyway. So say I start at 10am and do my first booking at 11am for a half hour, before and just after that booking I can take calls or answer enquiries before you know it you've done a fair few bookings. I would say my average is about 3 sometimes more sometimes less its down to if you get to take the good calls or not, but certainly doable to see 5 or 6 without someone answering your phone.

I am disgusted (at myself and America)...

5-8 clients a day? I want to friggin shoot myself in the head and meet the good Lord already. I BARELY get 2 clients a week let alone 4 or 5 a day. Then, I have to constantly stay on the road only to see 3-4 clients a week.

I think I'm going to start doing porn...I can't take too much more of this.

Totally agree. I would never do porn. I would rather have a dead end job than do porn!

There has to be some other ideas for you as an escort i.e webcamming, phonesex in between appointments. I do that and for instance yesterday I had 1 hrs booking which is 110 for me and then on top of that I made 76 extra with phone sex.

Also maybe look at specials you could offer clients, special packages that would not leave you out of pocket, I put one on for xmas i.e 5 hrs with me lunch and some social time for 300. I have had two of those bookings a week over the last two weeks. Am considering offering it in the new year too as I am no longer able to do overnight bookings.

There must be other avenues you could take with escorting Blaine. I find my blogs and private gallery pix attract a lot of clients.

As a touring escort, I tend to see several gents per day (so long as the tour is successful, that is).
Organisation is paramount, as is the ability to encourage clients to book in advance.
Sometimes I'll offer a discount for those that book by 11pm the night prior to the booking, and I find this really helps to get my number of advance bookings up.
This of course makes it far easier for me to organise my day and schedule same-day bookings alongside the existing ones. And of course it's always reassuring to know that I'm likely to make ?X minimum the following day.
If I have a ratio of 50% pre-booked and 50% on the day, I'm a happy girl

It's so frustrating when the same guy calls up at 4pm every day asking for a 5pm appointment and explaining to him that it's already been booked but he's welcome to book that time for tomorrow. He doesn't..then rings the next day with an hours notice and is surprised it's booked!

That said, I'd always prefer a guy to know for certain he can make the booking, rather than just booking on the off-chance he can make it so I guess I can't have it both ways $:-\$

I've tried alot of that locally. When I'm traveling, I can still see clients. It's just on a day to day basis locally where the issue comes from. I have done everything from offering special rates to make your own offers to discounts for deposits (my current special for out of town travel).

The issue seems to be more or less the fact that it's the same old guys day in, day out. I end up having to resort to craigslist...but I hate doing it because its so time consuming. You have to sift thru the dozens of emails of guys who won't pay, and then since I cant post phone number, I have to sit and sift for hours thru emails that may or may not end up being clients...and then for only $100 or less. Aggravating to say the least.

Or - work really hard at promoting themselves, spend money on effective advertising, invest in a great site, engage with their clients and cherish their regulars.

I dont think you can generalise as to why some girls are busier then others. All you can do is look at working whatever angles you personally have to your best advantage.
