Depends what area you are in.  Unfortunately in this climate it's like tossing a coin whether you will be busy or not.

If you can afford it then I would try it.  Are you being featured, on the local search, showing as available today?  They all make a difference when trying to get clients to notice you on aw.  Maybe you are in one of the areas that aw doesn't work?

I have had days where I have had no booking and ended up really busy and other times when it really has been dead despite having loads of previous enquiries.

Hi I had this experience in Beaconsfield,travelogde   In the end i left early as I had lost the interest but they didnt refund me, each hotel is different though.

I have in other areas been very busy with clients calls and then visits  but not bookings on aw so its hard for me to gage what would work its a gamble , I use cheaper hotels and do tours on pay day weeks only !

advertise in local papers etc

aw is not enough.

you may get alot of interest on the day, id stick with your plan

i did it a few months ago with two bookings but they cancelled. I checked out went home but hey it cost 40 quid so i lost a little. now its a bit better doing outcalls.  Incalls not sure if i will do ita again..
