Dilemma ?
« on: 03 August 2012, 10:20:54 pm »
Just had a new client, he was gorgeous handsome, clean sexy, posh boy, very polite. He gave me the money upfront all fresh new notes. Paid me a little extra as he didn't have right change (only 10 pounds). Just counted it again now he has gone and there is actually an extra 30 pounds so two twenties must have been stuck together, should i text him or wait and see if he books again then mention it. He's hardly going to come back for such a small amount  ?????? Don't want him to think i am dishonest. Sorry probably a fuss about nothing

Do not call or text him. It would be completely inappropriate to do this. You should NEVER cold contact clients unless they have specified that it is okay to do so.

The only thing you can do is wait for him to contact you and then tell him.

It was both of your responsibility to check that the right amount was given. Chalk it up as something to learn from.

There are other options. If you have his email, you could send him Amazon voucher or if he has prepaid phone, fill his account for 30 pounds? I would not consider this inappropriate. Honesty is best policy.

yes u cannot call him its against the rules however if he has used email then maybe, i doubt he needs it if he can afford to pay us girls stop worrying hunny relax and say if he calls that he overpaid and that the rules say never call because of discretion.

just keep the ? - sounds like he might not even realise he gave you the extra and by the sound of it isn't going to cry over a missing 20 quid  ;)

I would say definitely do NOT Call or Text.....Wait for him to contact you and then mention it....Discretion in this business demands that we never call or text a Client....

Thanks ladies decided not to contact him.. I think Ellie is right he probably doesn't even realise. He definitely would not need the money he was clearly minted. If he calls again i will tell him. I don't have an email all contact was phone calls and texts   xx

If I realise and it's within 5 minutes of him leaving I do text, but these days I count the money upfront so don't have that issue.
