I just came up with an idea of setting up an amazon wish list for my clients to be able to buy gifts .
I don’t have amazon account yet .
Does any of you have it and can recommend it ?
Would I be able to set it up with my work name ?
Also , really important- would my address be visible to the people gifting me ? 

I had one years ago and got a few bits off it - you can set up an Amazon account (or accounts) with any name you like, but for a wishlist it's important that you only add items which are sold or fulfilled by Amazon rather than a third party seller. You can add these, but that means your address will be on show, whereas with Amazon items it won't .

If you’ve already set up an amazon account is there a way to hide your name or change your name ? I looked at someone’s wish list and I couldn’t figure out how to send it to their address either - and I could see the names on their lists. Like “jades list” for example. :/

I really don't know - I have three (one usual, one work and a spare that I set up to get more free Prime trials ) and I've never mixed them up. The addresses come up on the checkout/order confirmation page as far as I know - Amazon orders don't need them because they know where to send things, but obciously the third party sellers don't so Amazon have to show them (I think).

There ought to be something in the Help section that can confirm it - it might have changed since I used mine. It's probably almost ten years since I took it down, so I would go on the site and have a poke about.

I would also add that if you put items on your list that are not fulfilled by Amazon and you want to return them the process is a pain in the arse.

As the item doesn't appear on your Amazon orders you cannot open a return and have to ask either the Buyer to do so or you have to contact Amazon, explain the situation, ask for the seller's contact info, email them and then you may have to pay return shipping.  And in some cases after all that the Buyer will be refunded and not you, as I learned today!

So yeah, only go for Prime items to ensure an easy return process

Has anyone else had this problem with Amazon wishlist? I've set up a work Amazon wishlist using different name, email, phone number (even did it on a different device, put the link for the new account on my twitter, clicked on it and it took me to my personal account!!!! Am really puzzled as to how it's done that, can anyone help please?
