Security calls, quick rant* How Evie lost her calm!
« on: 10 October 2008, 04:53:07 pm »
Phew* I had a booking come through with only about 60 minutes notice which I'd normally say it was too short a notice and I'd not prearranged my security buddy, but I  had already had to cancel on this guy once and he was so lovely on the phone and I thought...urgh

So there's me ringing my security buddy, not able to do it, emailed a friend and she couldn't either, and by then the clo9ck was ticking and I thought 'oh no!' emailed and phoned a few other people, leaving hasty message without inhaling or exhaling ONCE! I got myself into a real fluster running around like a headless chicken stressing about not knowing who to call so I posted this 'help emergency eek**!! post', and finally my friend rang back and said ok *right* before I was going to cancel the booking, what an amount of stressing!!! I think because I'm still new I the whole thing managed to freak me out rather effortlessly, and as it turned out everything was totally fine.

It's funny but actually having something else to fret over helped me be really relaxed for the booking itself and I didn't get the jitters for it as my energy was on something else.

Anyway, sorry to use this forum as my personal sounding board, and big apologies for having posted regarding security in the wrong spot and on such short notice I didn't mean to be rude. Just think of me as Chicken Little running around like the sky is falling xx Thanks for letting me air the experience too.
Mugs of tea for everyone!

I feel ya...I have had bookings here and there where I was late or lost directions and went like a bat out of hell to make it on time...

And with people often calling at the last minute....it happens that much more often. Im about to start saying I need atleast 2 hours notice ahead of time, shit...

This is why I love this site-

It probably would have been calmer if the room was not a goddamn rubbish tip with about a zillion half empty mugs and papers everywhere- in just under 80 minutes I managed: to change the bedsheets duvet cover and pillows, get towels and toiletries ready, iron my outfit, clean the mirrors, get all the dishes out, hoover the hallway landing and bedroom floor, shove ALL junk in a sagging closet, take down/remove any and all valuable goods or things with personal details on, shower, shave (including deforesting the out of control brazillian rainforest) wash my hair, empty the bathroom rubbish bin, blowdry and brush hair, gargle with mouthwash, dress, choose a playlist, put on makeup, do the mood lighting AND find a security buddy in time to answer the buzz and take his coat.

I don't know how I bloody managed, But I felt like highfiving somebody  ;D For a naturally slovenly girl I dare say Superman couldn't have kept up.

Fancy coming over to my place and blasting through???  Ive been looking at this mess for days which is starting to resemble a teenagers bedroom and i cant be arsed to deal with it slowly let alone in 80min flat.  hows the wardrobe holding together though????  has it burst yet?

No the poor wardrobe had to have an operation to remove all the junk inside it, now mostly on floor in pile. It creaked a few times during the booking and I thought 'oh no!!'

I have to put my shoe rack in front of my wardrobe to keep it closed lol! And things are now popping out from under my bed it's that full :(

At least the place looks half decent tho :-/ ish haha! I just have too much stuff, the place never looks that tidy I don't think.

Oh, and give me a pm if you want my number for security buddy Evie darling. I've only used a security buddy once when I wasn't 100% on the guy for some reason so not 100% on what my procedure would be lol!
