Hi everyone,

So I have had a request for an international booking. I do not know how I should do screening for this and method of payment. It is for 5 nights to Prague for £6000.

I have asked for £900 deposit, ID and hotel reservation with his name on it.
Do you think this is sufficient?

With payment I said cash when I arrive, but now I am thinking he should transfer maybe £3000 and cash the rest. How will I put the cash in my account when I am away? Is western union okay to use? I just don’t want to be carrying that much.

Sorry if I sound stupid. Any other advice?

I think £900 is too low, what if he messes you about or ghosts on arrival?  I like half the total fee  for deposit. Give him a strict deadline.  My mate does WU when abroad and not had problems. (Ooh some girls ask clients to book them their own room so they're not stuck staring at him 24/7, 5 days is a long time. Maybe you're experienced with that anyway.  ;))

Okay I’ve told him -
£1200 deposit
£2400 transferred  a day before
£2400 cash when I arrive

Lol don’t know why I’ve made it difficult but seems better  ;D

I did international travel with a guy I asked for all the money upfront including money for me to get to the airport and overnight stay before and after the time he had booked. He was used to booking ladies for breaks away and this was what he expected to be asked. He paid up no problem

I would want it all in my sticky hands before I went onto the plane

Yes, I agree Nemature. I did that too when I went to Abu Dhabi...all the fee upfront a week before posted to me. I would probably not have had the confidence to go otherwise. I thought maybe HR had a special reason for asking for a deposit. lol ;D

Four days with the same client was too much for me.
