Yeah, I really doubt he was ever serious about seeing you, OP. A genuine client understands that getting a lone woman to visit the home of a strange man who wants to purchase sexual services requires giving her a few details about himself so she can be *reasonably* sure she's not going to be messed about by some teenager with too much free time (or worse).
The only escorts who
may be able to be slightly less strict about the checks are ones who will be driven to the home outcall by a big burly driver whose bulging muscles barely allow him to fit in his car seat, but even they will be highly at risk of being messed about by timewasters if they don't do their checks.
The likelihood of being watched/photographed/filmed by silly kids or random nutters who think it's hilarious to watch a prossie wander about knocking on random doors is pretty high these days (and any footage
will end up on the internet, as this is 2013), so getting that landline number and full address and full name etc are vital otherwise the risks are huge.
Outcalls do tend to be less frequent than incalls anyway, so I treat all outcall requests very cautiously and am actually quite unlikely to even accept them because of being so strict about the distance I'm prepared to cover or the place I'm prepared to meet a new client. And luckily, so far, I've not been messed about at all.

It's ALWAYS a good bet to forget about any booking where the client hesitates about giving you the details you ask for, yet seems to expect you to wander about an unfamiliar area, alone, in the dark!
(If you're ever in doubt in the future, go over to the Warnings section of this forum and have a browse - it's a stark reminder of why being laissez-faire with security procedures is never a good idea. Being "too strict" only results in you never encountering various horrid situations, so it's hardly something to avoid!)
If they don't want to give out this info then they should be going for incalls where their personal details will not be asked for.
Another really good point. Yes, lots of genuine clients don't want prossies to know where they live - and that's why they book incalls, or hotel outcalls.

Anyone who wants a home outcall but doesn't want to give you security info is just a new Warnings post waiting to happen.
