Hi everyone, I'm a transsexual woman and used to work in Australia, but would now like to work in the States. I know NYC and Miami are some of the best places for it, but I was wondering if anybody had any advice on districts in the cities that are better for work, and/or any hotels (preferably mid-range, safe, but not too pricey), where it is safer to work and not be hassled by management? I would also like to know if anybody has any advice on where to advertise. I know websites are a crapshoot at the moment in the wake of BP's shutdown, but I wasn't sure if newspaper ads are allowed in New York or Miami. I was working abroad in London when BP got shutdown and it turned my life upside down. I was stranded and barely able to make it back to the States. I haven't been able to work since then and am accumulating serious debt as a result. Anyway, any advice on working in NYC or Miami would be very helpful.
