I’m planning to return to escorting (after lock down) after a six year break.

I’m pondering on whether I should return with my old name or choose a new one? I have a few people from my past who may identify me through my old name. This could be potentially problematic. On the other hand there’s a chance old clients may identify me and want to book?

Would be interested to hear from anyone else who has changed their name and if doing so made any difference to their business?

I changed my name when I came back to work after a couple of years off, but mostly because I was going from newspaper ads to online advertising and it felt like starting all over again. At the time (late 2007) a fair few of the directories listed people alphabetically too, and my prevous work name would have been far further down ;D.

If you're having a new phone number I'd likely change it, but depending on the size of the place.you work, you're not going to fool everyone even after six years. I would have a think about what you're going to say when they ask.

I think making a brand new profile is good, Even in life we change and punters like fresh profiles and new girls. I have toyed with the idea myself but only because of a stalking ex. But it all depends on personal situation. I recently had a name change just because I wanted it, I think that guys love to try someone new.

Definitely a new name new photos and videos, and a new phone. I had a few years break when I got back changed everything and it's been better than the old me.

I use a new name and state previous names on my ad. It works well for me clients are interested.

Thank you for all the replies. A new name it is then😊

I do have a few old clients who might track me down, but I doubt any of them are the types to object to a name change. They know what the game is all about!

Yes it will do no harm.  I kept the same profile a while back and just changed my name by way of a revamp.

I only do that sort of thing every 4 years or so though.

Starting up a new profile is fine for as long as you make mention of your previous names.  Or otherwise you look like you have something to hide if clients twig.  And many can twig after all.

I wanted to because apparently punters are fish-brained but renaming all my ads was too much hassle. Some won't let you so I'd have to delete it and start again but then I'd have to re-verify.

I change my name every year because I like variety. By this, I mean the name on my profile, my actual working name stays the same.

I've never had any problem with clients not knowing it's me and it has always worked in my favour.
